CLARIFICATIONS REGARDING NOTICE APPOINTMENT NOTIFICATION FOR THE

POST OF JUNIOR ENGINEERS, GEOLOGICAL ASSISTANTS AND SURVEYOR NO:

JKSPDC/ADM/NG-311/4324-33 dated 05.08.2017

CLARIFICATION
The following clarifications are provided for the information of all concerned:
1. Candidates with Diploma in Electronics and Communication are also eligible
for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical).
2. Separate forms have to be filled in case the candidate wishes to apply for
multiple posts.
3. Syllabus for the posts shall be intimated separately through internet and
other media.
4. The cut off percentage in the qualifying examination for post of Junior
Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Electrical), Junior Engineer (Mechanical),
Junior Engineer(Automation) and Junior Engineer (Instrumentation) is 55%.
5. Diploma candidates are NOT eligible for the post of Junior Engineer
(Automation) and Junior Engineer (Instrumentation). Only candidates with
BE/BTech in “Electrical Engineering” or “Electronics and Communication
Engineering” from a University established by law in India/AICTE approved
Institute are eligible for the post of Junior Engineer (Automation). Only
candidate with BE/BTech in Instrumentation Engineering from a University
established by law in India/AICTE approved Institute are eligible for the post
of Junior Engineer (Instrumentation).
6. No points will be awarded to candidates for prior experience.
7. All certificates and photographs can be self attested.
8. A candidate who has done Degree shall be allotted 20 marks on pro-rata
basis. Candidates with diploma will be allotted 10 marks on pro-rata basis.
E.g.
a) A candidate with ONLY BTech/BE and 75% marks will be given 15
points.
b) A candidate with ONLY Diploma and 75% marks will be give 7.5
marks.
 c) A candidate with BOTH BTech/BE with 70% marks and Diploma with
75% marks will be given 14 marks.
9. Extra marks for higher education (i.e. MTech in-case of Junior Engineers and
PhD in case of Geological Assistant) are NOT on pro-rata basis but to be
given in whole.
10. The last date for the application is 5th September 2017.
11. Those candidates who have not yet received final degrees can submit their
forms with provisional degrees only. However they will have to furnish the
final degree at the time of the interview.
