1. Why availability is a key role in IT Service and please gives an illustrative example.
availability is very important because it is a process to increase the system if there is a
machine that cannot operate. as an example if there are two machines to receive
complaints from customers, then the engine stops at one of them. hence availability is
needed to measure and analyze why one machine does not operate and how to calculate
the recovery time in addition to a machine that is still stable to do the process effectively
and efficiently
2. Explain the relation/difference of up time, downtime, slow response and high availability.
High Availability describes how well a system provides useful resources over a set period of
time. High availability guarantees an absolute degree of functional continuity within a time
window expressed as the relationship between uptime and downtime.
The term Downtime is used to refer to periods when a system is unavailable. Downtime or
outage duration refers to a period of time that a system fails to provide or perform its
primary function.
Uptime is a measure of system reliability, expressed as the percentage of time a machine,
typically a computer, has been working and available. Uptime is the opposite of downtime
3. If you were providing Internet services and availability was one of its major features, how
would you market it?
I will optimize my availability in various ways, to make customers feel comfortable and
secure to subscribe with me, not to forget the marketing system, I also pay attention to
increasing the attractiveness of customers to the features I provide.
4. Why performance and tuning are important in IT Service and please gives simple example to
describe them.
performance and adjustment is important because tuning has an effect on performance. it is
an inseparable whole, therefore there is no system that has good performance if it is not
supported by good tuning. For example, the proxy rule settings, if my settings are not
correct, the performance of the internet that I distribute is not optimal
5. Explain using an example the relation between availability, performance and tuning.
virtualization settings, when setting we are also asked to pay attention to the availability
options to improve system performance if there is no system running.
