Green Building

a) Green building is an innovation responsible of reduce or eliminate the environmental

negative impacts, and create new positive impacts. The principal objective of this

innovation is to reuse some materials like water, energy (use solar energy), also some

wastes, use non-toxic material, etc. The benefits of the green building are that, green

building has the potential to make energy savings of 50% in 2050 that support of limiting

global temperature 2°C (pre-industrial levels).

b) Environmental: the water savings from the commercial buildings will grow more than the

7% of all the use of the non-residential water.

Social: In 2016, a study at the Harvard School of Public Health and the State University

of New York Upstate Medical University found that green certification workers obtain a

26% in test of cognitive function than the people that work in buildings that not have

green certificate.

Economic: In the economic impacts, the green building generates more purchases by

consumers due to reusable materials cheaper than new materials.
