Strategies that are not implemented and ineffective, explain why?

The strategy used by Elixir Enterprise is the Market Development Strategy

which in the first month of the operation failed, because of the unforeseen and

44
QUEZON CITY POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY
unexpected things happened but the Enterprise empower the remaining
months to implement it well to Quezon City Polytechnic University, Novaliches
Campus

Problems encountered

First issue encountered by the team was the polo shirt, we had an
agreement with Ms. Jada Cruz, the owner of Brand House and Milktees
printing but she didn’t follow our agreement like the design was not followed,
there are dirt in the polo shirt, there are stitches that are not aligned well and
there are rejected, we proved lapses in her side including the deadline was not
followed, she didn’t show up for many time and lastly she file a complaint and
make us the antagonist of the story but we since we proved the lapses she
made, we stand for our right and return the polo shirt, she was forced to fix our
uniform, there are shirts that are still with them because they make a new one
due to rejection. Another issue is the stall, we are limited to our resources so
we just outsourced a worker to work on our stall, one of the Elixir Enterprise
member’s father volunteered to work on it but the man power was not enough,
so it took time to finish it but when things are already settled about the stall
another issue occurred which is the target market, the Brgy. Commonwealth
issued us a permit to sell in the place but the time we are asking a permission
to them as we put up the stall they told us that a clearing operation is ongoing
to the area and there are possibility to pull-out our stall, so we went to the Brgy
to negotiate with them but they still don’t allow us.

Elixir Enterprise didn’t meet the target requirement on the first half of the
operation due to the suspensions because of the holidays and weather, We
had a lot of learnings after the business implementation 2. All struggles from
the start was converted in to a positive outcome to everyone of us, We start to
deal with our mistakes, face the challenges and be brave enough to move for
it, to do what are necessaries, to forget the negativities and lastly, to look
forward for a brighter days to come.

Learning Insights

Reflection, realization in terms of knowledge, skills and attitude while

conducting the business implementation

 Acielo, Heniresa G. (Marketing Staff)

My reflection in our implementation is that I've learned a lot especially
when it comes in selling because first I have already gain the ability to
communicate to others. And it also helps me to develop or to increase my self-
esteem and how to understand the different attitudes or behavior of the
customers. But aside from that I’m so thankful because I have my classmates that
I could lean on whenever there's a problem because, problem for me is part of
this Implementation but we are strong enough to face those problems that might
encounter of our team I know sometimes there's misunderstanding but at the end
of the day we still talk to each other and talk about those things.

 Balibiol, John Paul B. (Finance Manager)

My reflection to our business implementation. There are so many learning
experiences in this subject course and also different challenges that you will
encountered along the way. This subject course is not easy as putting up a
business that you will sell product or services and earn money or profit, it’s not
just only that. I learned a lot in this subject like how to be more patient by handling
different people's attitude of my group mates or those customers that we
encountered and how to handle the problems/challenges that we have, what
action that we need to do to solve that problem. Putting God in the center of all is
the most important thing because if we are apart from God in the first place we will
not going to make it this long and we will not succeed. I learned also that unity is
important in the team, helping each other, supporting each other and also love
one another, because if the group have those things then no problem that cannot
solved

 Delgado, Jabez O. (Finance Staff)

48
QUEZON CITY POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY
I have so many that I learned from the business implementation, First is
cooperation in the team is very important it includes the consideration,
Adjustment, Accepting on other members. 2nd is Perseverance which includes
having patience being hard-worker in every circumstances in the team, the
determination to sells our products and gain sales, I therefore conclude that this is
a great experience to me.

 Demanarig, Joeny M. (Marketing Staff)

My reflection for our implementation is very joyful because there’s have a
lot of learnings that I get. It helps me to enhance my skills on handling a business.
Although our enterprise have a lot of problems that faced but we are still solid and
positive because we believe that when there was a problem, there is always have
a solution. I will work hard to attain our goal.

 Gersalia, Veronique B. (Production Head)

Implementation is so hard compare to business plan, this year you need to
be more matured and to be selfless also. To be a Production head is wasn't easy
because you will in charged in all stuffs in terms to productions. This team taught
me to be a responsible in a way that you need to stand up and must learned to all
problems that will coming. I knew there's a challenge that we will face in the next
day and it's natural for those people in one organization, but we need to solve our
own problems and it will give a learning to us

 Lopez, Liezel D. (Production Staff)

As a Production staff of this enterprise, I've learned a lot regarding to hard
work and be a risk taker. Hard work is one of the highest factor that we need to
apply in order to be successful in your business. there are many ways to achieve
a goal. in business world, if you want to be succeed in your own business, one of
the formula is, be a risk taker. taking a risk is not just easy as we think, but it takes
more motivation and inspiration to evaluate your own risk as well. as we
Implemented our own product, our enterprise have been through a lot of decision
to make our business more successful and relatable according to its sustainable
and development goal itself, and as the time passes by, Elixir Enterprise would be
continuing to implement more visible aspects, also to help people in knowing our
business product as well.

 Magalona, April A. (Production Staff)

My reflection to our business implementation I learned a lot of things about
how to put up a business in actual and I learn more with our team. We produce
ice candy and aloe vera juice, I've learned to become a hard working, cooperate
with others being strong in every circumstances of our team rain or shine we sell
our product. And I learned how to become a patience people in every time we sell
and to give importance to our members and the time that we give.

49
QUEZON CITY POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY
 Marcos, Mary Ann Paula (Production Staff)
Business Implementation is a challenging subject / job for me. I learn that I
must extend my patience, understand the situation of others and work as a part of
a big family. A single skill and knowledge is not enough if there is no one to back-
up the plan. Respect, cooperation and responsibility is a must. Submission is not
enough without obedience.

 Mendoza, Jona Marie M. (General Manager)

As the General Manager of this team, the Business Implementation taught
me how to give justice yet being kind at the same time. My responsibility is not
easy but it made me realized that its like undergoing to the “butterfly process”
which will take time that patience is really important but it would be worth it in the
end because of the result, there are moments that I was about to give up because
of my limitations, anxiety and frustration thinking that I failed but then my team
always reminds me that they are my engine that even though there are times that
misunderstanding exist, seeing them learning and growing makes my heart feels
the genuine happiness. I considered everyone as one body that we will not
function if one is not healthy, so in the times of arguments I found it so hard to
work because I need to listen in both side and I can’t just decide for myself
because any decision would affect everyone, from being someone who feared
people, this team transformed me into someone who can trust people, they taught
me how to be happy in every small things we do. Every understanding about each
of them makes me found myself, its hard to work in a team composed of irregular
students and some are working student, as their leader I have to extend myself to
them with full of understanding and wisdom on how to deal with them because
they have different personalities but I always reminds myself, even the team that
“Trust God, Trust the Team, Trust their selves, and lastly Trust the product.”
Because all things starts in trust.

 Notarte, Mary Rose A. (Production Assistant)

My reflection about our business implementation is enjoyable because we
are practicing to face random person and build up our self-esteem. But the main
problem in our enterprise was some of my co-partners did not take all their duty
specially those working students, reason why it’s hard to attain our quota.

 Palgan, Cherly (Production Staff)

I have many things that I learned in business implementation first how the
word TEAMWORK means specially to our enterprise and the cooperation in each
member to sell our product and gain sales to meet the quota.
 Panim, Hazel Anne P. (Production Staff)
Our implementation is about doing our plan into action or with actual
presentation of our business plan. So we need to exert our efforts as a whole

50
QUEZON CITY POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY
team to achieve our goals. We need to unite as one and be more responsible and
do our task as a member of a team to become successful in our implementation

 Pastrana, Vina (Marketing Head)

My reflections for our implementation, I have say that there so many
learning to we can get, I could experience How to be patient Person how long I
can be patient? because we all know that nobody's perfect some of us we do
mistake, we do a lot of rejection, a lot of different attitude and behavior that cause
of misunderstanding. so for me this is the Big challenges of entrepreneurs to
overcome all the problem of the organization. I have learned that everyone is
having different path that should wanted but it doesn't matter to give up, creating
unity is the best key to improve ourselves during of our implementation. a lot of
sacrifice involved on it. Should be doing a production and, selling the product to
the customers and knowing the needs of customers it could be hard for me yes
it's hard but I know this is the right way to aim our goal as a business minded, I'm
totally prove that we are the risk taker. Because of our experience during
implementation, we sacrifice, we creating relation, we know how to fail, and we all
know how to improve ourselves as a business entrepreneurs by doing care of
each other love each other rather. I thought that our implementation is all about in
business selling, production ,profit , strategies, customer relationship, financial
budget and so on. but I was wrong because this is the real battle to face the
reality on business. To earn, to be humble, to appreciating others and to be loved.

 Paza, Angelica (Marketing Assistant)

My reflection for our business implementation. I learn a lot of things to
implementing our product. My first expectation in our product is it’s very easy to
sell it into a crowd since it’s a healthy unique juice and ice candy but when I
experience to sell it as a marketing assistant I realize that it’s very hard because
of the different reasons. One of the reason is a weather. Lately, we have a
typhoon so its affect our product. Because of that we need to do a double time
and we need to work hard and do our task to reach our quota. In an enterprise I
know that we have a different struggles that we need to face as a team. That’s
why I realize that you need to be patient and also we need to have unity as a
team to do our responsibility easily.

 Peňa, Marisol O. (Marketing Staff)

My reflection in our implementation there's a lot of circumstances or
challenges that our team faces right now. But I think the best solution on this is to
work as a TEAM because this past few months I think we're lacking on Teamwork
that will cause on Misunderstanding, Arguments , Laziness that can really affects
on how we work in our task but I think those challenges make us grow , brave and
strong to beat all the problems that we encountered as a team

 Rael, Jenifer M. (Marketing Staff)

51
QUEZON CITY POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY
My reflection about the Business Implementation is I learned o lot of things
like you need to have a long patient when it comes you have an organization you
encounter different types of personality as a person. I learned to have creative
mindset how to deal a needs a wants of every that we encounter in every selling, I
totally prove that we are a risk taker we risk an ourselves and invest our without
knowing if we have profit we lose in battle of being Entrepreneur.

 Sy, Laurence (Production Staff)

This Business implementation is very helpful for me to build my confident
and how to interact with other people. Because there was no room for shy in
Entrepreneur. Also with this Business Implementation we understand the
costumers about their taste on buying product
