Drinking a lot of water with your meal


Water is important but drinking a lot of water along with your meals can actually lead

Solution: Consume a lot of water either an hour before or after your meals. Just take a
small sip on a glass of water during your meal.

Consuming a lot of starch and protein together


Protein is known to have the ability to slow the rate of digestion and starches digest
much faster into simple sugars.

Solution: Consume your starch first before eating protein. You can also have a small
serving of starch with protein but don’t take too much of it.

Drinking ice-cold water with your meal


Ice cold water tightens the blood vessels, therefore, it prevents the ability of the body
to digest food easily and absorb more nutrients. It will solidify the fats that you
already consumed which will eventually lead to difficulty in digesting.
Solution: Consume water at a room temperature. You can also order hot water or
green tea before eating your meal.

1. Do not smoke a cigarette after eating a full meal
We are all aware that smoking is one of the bad vices and is extremely harmful to our health,

but most of the people still continue do this terrible habit even right after they are done eating their meal.

Brisk walking post meal is a not a very good idea. Or go if you really want to, but then you’ll have some
serious acid re-flux and indigestion;

if that’s what you want. You can go for a walk after a meal, sure, but after at least 10 minutes please.
Then it is perfectly healthy.

The reason is very simple- after the meal, our digestion process is all ready to go. Digestive juices are
released in the stomach and intestine.

This is the time when the stomach and intestine need most blood supply to carry on this process
smoothly. Hence, the blood flow needs to be directed to this area for better digestion.

If we perform any vigorous activity as simple as brisk walking after the meal, the blood circulation gets
directed to our extremities which compromises the blood flow to the core region of the body, thus
hampering the digestive processes.

3. Going to Sleep right after a meal


The problem with eating after sleeping is that your body is most comfortable digesting food in an upright
position, allowing it to absorb food easily.

So unless you catch your zzz’s standing up like a horse, sleeping after eating is going to muddle with the
digestion process which can lead to a mass of digestive diseases.

If you are about to go to bed just right after eating a meal, you will be experiencing discomfort, bloating
and other sleeping patterns which can cause your stomach to burn during the night.
The University of Loannina Medical School has conducted a research study which proved that people
who waited for a longer period of time before going to bed

after a meal are those who have less risk of experiencing a stroke. Therefore, you have to make sure not
to eat at least a few hours before going to bed.

The bottom line is that sleeping after eating causes digestive problems because you’re not in an upright
position which is the preferred way for your body to digest food.

4. Taking a bath or swimming right after eating


When you bathe, your surface temperature changes according to the temperature of the water you use.

When the water makes contact with your skin, your brain processes this change in body temperature as
an immediate need

to direct blood to your skin and bring your temperature back to normal. If you use cold water, your blood
vessels dilate.

As large volumes of blood flow to your skin, your body temperature increases and normalizes.

If you take a hot shower instead, the blood vessels in your skin dilate to dissipate the excess heat.

This in turn causes more blood to flow to your skin.This will make your digestive system weak and might
lead to stomach pain. So it is better to wait atleast 30 mins before taking a bath or swimming.

5. Drinking tea immediately after eating


You should not drink tea just right after you had a dinner or lunch due to the fact that it will only interfere
with

the iron absorption in your body. The tea contains tannic acid that binds with iron and protein in our food.

It is scientifically proven that in most cases results to 87% decrease in iron absorption.

Iron deficiency can cause anaemia which result to pale skin, poor appetite, chest pain, cold feet and
hands, dizziness, weakness and an extreme fatigue.

In conclusion, there are certain things that you should avoid doing just right after having a meal. Make
sure to have some time

and leave some space to your digestive system before smoking, eating fruits, sleeping, showering and
drinking tea.

Palitan mo ang parehong soda at coffee ng herbal tea at green drinks na
di hamak na mas masustansiya at nakatutulong para sa kalusugan ng
katawan.
 Maaari mo ring subukan ang pagkonsumo ng coconut milk o almond milk
kaysa ang tradisyunal na dairy milk na madalas na kinokonsumo ng mga
tao.
 Bukod pa riyan, dapat lang din na iwasan at bawasan ang bisyo na
madalas mong ginagawa kagaya na lamang ng madalas at sobrang
paginom ng alak at maging ang paninigarilyo sapagkat wala naman itong
naidudulot na maganda para sa katawan at kalusugan ng isang tao.
Mas maganda kung aalagan mo ang iyong katawan ng mabuti upang hindi
magdusa o magkaroon ng mga sakit na siyang magpapahirap sa iyo sa
paglipas ng panahon. Ang pagkakaroon ng sakit ay lubhang magastos at
talagang mabubutas ang iyong bulsa, wala rin namang tao ang may
kagustuhan na magkaroon ng kahit na anong uri ng sakit. Kaya palakasin mo
ang iyong katawan at alagaan ito ng mabuti upang hindi na gumastos at
mamoblema pa. Sabi nga nila “prevention is better than cure.” Agapan mo na
ito habang maaga pa upang hindi magsisi sa huli. Ang iyong kalusugan ang
natatangi yaman na mayroon ka. Huwag mo itong balewalain at pahalagahan
mo ito ng mabuti.
