Education and CPEC

 Main areas of focus will be Chinese Language, Logistics, supply chain, project
management(establishment of new industry)
 After completion of phase one infrastructure development, services industry will
need to be focused on, hotels, truck bays and tourism.
 Hamdard Uni must try to get into the Consortium of universities made for the
transfer of knowledge . this consortium in made under HEC. Pakistani universities
in this consortium are Baluchistan University of Information Technology,
Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), COMSATS Institute of
Information Technology, Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Institute of
Management Sciences (IMS), Lahore University of Management Sciences
(LUMS), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan
Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), and University of the Punjab.
 Hamdard Uni can privately go into a student/ faculty exchange program to better
contribute in future education requirements arising out of CPEC. Hamdard uni
might be able to get scholarships for their students to study full degrees or partial
degrees in china. This will be beneficial for Hamdard brand name.
 With the development of Special economic zones (SEZs) there is an opportunity
for entrepreneurs to establish companies. Chinese companies are searching local
firms to introduce them to Pakistani firms so that they can participate in
development projects.These intermediary companies are in business these days.
 Hamdard can also open a Chinese language center for language learning. Just
like MoU between NUML, Islamabad, and Xinjiang Normal University, Urumqi, for
cooperation on higher education
 Hamdard uni should start a Project management program , Project management
professionals are in demand and will be for CPEC projects.
 Hamdard uni can start a consultancy cell for industry to guide industry.
