Huawei was founded in 1987 by Ren Zahengfei as a distributor for imported
products of PBX (Private Branch Exchange) this is a telephone central directly
connected to the public netword of telephony for manage internal calls, incoming
and outgoing calls with autonomy over any other telephone exchange . Two years
it later, it have started his own production and sale of PBX.
in 1993 when he launched his digital telephone Switch. It began to do facilities in
rural areas, to become after in of the largest companies in the world.
In 1996, Huawei began to provide basic telephony products to the company
Hongkong's Hutchison-Whampoa. And a year later, it launches its GSM product
(from the English Global System for Mobile communications) which is a standard,
free system of digital mobile telephony, and expands its offer to CDMA
technologies, commonly used in wireless communications and systems fiber optics
or cable, and UMTS, which is one of the technologies used by third generation
mobile phones, the successor to GPRS.
The Chinese company continued to grow and from 1998 to 2003 hired IBM for
management and consulting, achieving a transformation of its management
structure and product development. In that period, in 2001, Huawei increases its
speed of expansion in the foreign market.
In 2003, a strategic union called Huawei-3Com began with 3Com for the
manufacture of routers and switches based on Internet protocol. And a year later,
its sales surpass sales in the domestic market by having strategic partnerships with
Siemens for the development of TD-SCDMA products.

security and data storage equipment for operators in the telecommunications
market.

Directors including Thomas Lee, the Vice Director of the Huawei Industrial

In 2012, Huawei was the target of attacks in several of the major markets of
developed countries, accused of espionage in favor of the Chinese government.

and Australia and faced an investigation for alleged illegal practices in the
European Union in 2013.

(including banking and financial fraud, money laundering, conspiracy to defraud,
secret technology theft commercial, grant bonuses to workers who stole
confidential information from companies around the world, email fraud and
obstruction of justice) and sanctions against Huawei, its CFO Meng Wanzhou,
Huawei Device USA Inc. and the Iranian subsidiary Skycom de Huawei.
On Sunday, May 19, 2019, the US company Google suspended commercial
relations with Huawei, after the US government included it in "the commercial
blacklist." This means that it will not last provide software or hardware products and
new items will not provide Play Store support or updates.
