Configuring Content Studio Settings

Explanation Screenshot

You, a marketing expert at

Gallo D'Oro coffee company,
have just created a new
email template in the
Content Studio with a
discount special offer for
your loyal customers. Now
you want to configure
settings for your email.

Would you like to know how

a marketing expert
configures the settings for an
email using the Content
Studio app?

If so, follow this interactive

tutorial.

1. To open the app, select

the Content Studio tile.

2. Choose All Content.

3. Let's select the email,

Gallo D'Oro Loyalty
Program.

4. Here you can see the

email that you designed.

Let's switch to the Settings

tab.

On the Settings screen, you

can enter the values of
various parameters to
configure content for your
email.

The parameters are divided

into the folllowing five
sections:
• Message

• Team
• Agency

Let's go through them one

by one.

5. To edit the settings,

choose Edit.

In the Name field, you can

change the name of the
email if necessary.

In the Description field, you

can enter an optional
description for your email.

Let's skip these fields and

move on to Tags.

6. Tags can be used to

classify emails and make it
easier to search emails. You
can either choose existing
tags or create new ones. If
you create new tags these
are only saved when the
email is saved.

To find suitable existing tags

for your email, open the

10. In the Personalization

area, you can select a
segmentation profile to
define additional attributes
available for the content
personalization.

To select a segmentation
profile, open the input help.

11. Choose All Consumers.

12. The communication

category enables a
subscription check and/or a
check for communication
limits.

With a subscription enabled

communication category, the
system checks whether the
customer has registered to
receive newsletters when
the email campaign is
executed.

With a limit-based
communication category, the
system restricts the number
of emails that a customer
can receive during a specific
period of time.

To enable a subscription
check, open the

communication category
input help.

13. Choose Coffee

Newsletter.

To see further information

about the communication
category, choose the Info
button.

If you want to control the

amount of emails, you can
define the limits in the
Communication Categories
and Limits app.

The Structure Changeable

field is selected as a default.
This decides whether a user
with restricted access can
change the structure and
content of an email.

If this checkbox is selected,

it means a user has the
following authorizations:
• Create new blocks
• Move existing blocks
• Delete and copy
existing blocks

This checkbox can also be

deselected by a marketing
expert but let's leave it as is
for now.

The last option in the

Message area is the Send
Multipart Email checkbox.

If this checkbox is selected,

the system generates and
sends a text-only version of
the marketing email in
addition to the HTML
version.

This is to reduce the

likelihood that the emails are
marked as spam by the
email service provider or
email program.

Let's move on to the settings

in the Delivery area. The
Default Language dropdown
menu allows you to define
the language in which a
recipient receives the email
if it does not contain any
content in their language, or
the recipient language is
unknown.

You can only select

languages for which content
has been entered for the
email, and in which the
system is translated.

In this tutorial, the default

language is set to English.

this field.

field, enter
reply@gallodoro.com.

In the Send on Behalf

Personalization area, you
can select values for the
corresponding attribute for a
particular role, for example,
the sales support in our
case. When the email is
sent, the system determines
the value for the attribute
that is suitable for the
recipient, such as the last
name of the sales support
for the South West region.

This value is displayed to the

recipient in the email. Please
note that adding these
values is only possible if you
have created the
corresponding role in the
Self Service Configuration
app > Configure Solution
using the action Define
Team Member Role.
