1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto both side of body and canopy (1). The weight of
truck body and canopy (1) is approximately 33747 kg (74400 lb).

2. Position suitable blocking between body and canopy (1) and frame (2). Repeat this step for the
opposite side of truck body and canopy (1).

3. If necessary, remove the mud flaps.

4. Disconnect chain (3).

5. Use a suitable lifting device to support rock ejector (4). The weight of rock ejector (4) is
approximately 115 kg (254 lb).

6. Remove cotter (5), pin (6), washer (7), and rock ejector (4).

7. Repeat Step 5 and Step 6 for the remaining rock ejector.

8. Disconnect hose assembly (8) and remove the connecting hardware. Repeat this step for the opposite
side of the machine.

9. Use a suitable lifting device to support hoist cylinder (9). The weight of hoist cylinder (9) is
approximately 1067 kg (2353 lb). Remove retaining plate (10).

10. Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to remove pin assembly (11). Remove spacers (12).

11. Retract and secure hoist cylinder (9) before proceeding to the next step.

12. Disconnect position sensor (13).

13. Remove plate (14).

14. Use Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to remove pin assembly (15). The weight of pin assembly
(15) is approximately 41 kg (90 lb).

Note: Tooling (D) can be used to support and retain the body pivot pins during removal and
installation procedures. Tooling (D) is not intended for pressing or pulling the pin. Refer to the Tool
Operating Manual , M0086655 for proper use of Tooling (D).

15. Remove washers (16).

16. Repeat Steps 13 through 15 for the remaining hinge pin.

17. Remove body and canopy (1).
