Company History

Metropolitan Institute of Arts and Sciences, Inc. was founded by Arch. Maribel Monilla-
Collado who happens to be the President and CEO of the Center for Technical Profession. The
idea of putting up an educational institution starts as the Center for Technical Profession grows
as one of the leading criminology and Sanitary Engineering Review center in the country.

It all started from a simple single proprietorship business—The Center for Technical
Profession (CTP) Review Center, which was established on March 5, 2012, offering programs
for architecture, sanitary engineering, master plumber, interior design and criminology reviews.
The Criminology review program started with its 1st batch of about 35 reviewees with 28 passed
under the sole direction of Arch. Maribel. After six months of operation Center for Technical
Profession, Inc. drastically increased to about 270 reviewees with 85% over-all passing and two
(2) top-notchers in one batch. This big lift was a coordinated efforts of Arch. Maribel Monilla
Collado and Dr. Ariel dela Cruz Manlusoc as the review director. The review center grown very
fast that is has now branches in Manila, Lucena, Tacloban, Cebu, Cavite, Caloocan, Antipolo
and Baliuag Bulacan.

The very site where the Metropolitan Institute of Arts and Sciences, Inc. is located, was
first been utilized as a branch for Caloocan area for criminology review. From 2013 to 2017
reviewees are pouring in to an average of 1,500 per batch.
The Founder of the MIAS has been so active in the criminology academic society. She
even attended several national conventions and every time the review center produces top-
notchers, she always makes this comment – “Kailangan pag nagkaschool na tayo dapat lahat
pasado at may top-notchers pa”. An expression out of joy and somewhat dismay that some
reviewees coming from different schools are having some comments that they learned a lot in
the review more than what they learned from their four (4) years stay in their respective
colleges/universities.
