 Launches the M.Phil leading towards Ph.D degree program in the

subject of Statistics

 Established an Operation Research Centre at University of the Punjab

and launched 2 years a degree program “Master of Information and
Operation Research”

 Established a Centre for Actuarial Science at University of the Punjab

and launched 2 years a degree program “M.Sc. Actuarial Sciences”

 Launched a new degree program of “M.Sc. Biostatistics”

 Launched a new degree program of “Master Business Statistics and

Management ”

 Established a “Statistical Data Bank” at University of the Punjab

 Established a “Statistical Consultancy Centre” at University of the

Punjab

 Successfully organized ‘First International Conference on Statistics

and Operations Research 2006’ which was presided by the then
Governor Punjab.

 Successfully organized ‘International Conference on Statistical Data

Produced and Applications of Statistics” (year 2007) in collaboration
with HEC which was presided by the then Governor Punjab.

 Successfully organized 3rd International Conference on “Statistical

Sciences” in collaboration with HEC in November 2010.

 Successfully organized Seminar on “Statistics Produced by the State

Bank of Pakistan” conducted by State Bank of Pakistan in consultation
and collaboration with College of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences in
Punjab University on May 5, 2008.

 Launched first statistical journal of Punjab University ‘Pakistan Journal

of Statistical and Operation Research’ in the year 2005. Since then
after every six months, quality research papers are being published .
