Aims:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Form sentences using the given prompts;
2. Identifying the comparative and superlative form of the given adjectives;
3. Making up sentences with the information given in a chart, using comparative and
superlative adjectives;
4. Select the comparative or the superlative form of the adjectives in order to fill in a
text.

Procedure: Interaction Time


Organising the class, checking the homework from WhatsApp - T – SS
group. GW 5’
In groups of four, students will have 3 minutes to decide whose
message was the one they like best S – SS

 Expressing opinion, developing evaluation skills
Indicators:
 Pupils discuss with their classmates.
 They speak in English.
 They share their previous knowledge about the subject.

Procedure: Interaction Time


The teacher brings in the classroom a flipchart sheet, where are T – SS
written adjectives in the positive form. 15’
Students are asked to say and look for the card, on which are S – SS
written the comparative and superlative form, and stick it in the
right column.

The teacher asks students to write the chart into their

Identifying the comparative and superlative form of the given adjectives.
Indicators:
They can identify the comparative and superlative forms.
They can make distinction between short, long or irregular adjectives.

Flipchart, cards with comparative and superlative adjectives.

Procedure: Interaction Time
The teacher gives to the students Worksheet 1, and asks them T – SS
to make up sentences using the information in the chart. IW 12’
Students perform the task.
If they cannot do it, on their own, the teacher helps them.
Learning outcomes:
Making up sentences with the information given in a chart, using comparative and
superlative adjectives
Indicators:
They can say compare sports.
They can identify the adjectives and the way they work in the sentence, according to
the degree of comparison required.

Procedure: Interaction Time


The teacher gives Worksheet 2 to the students and asks them to T – SS
fill in with the suitable form of the adjectives. 16’

When they have finished the task, teacher asks one student at a T – SS
time to read a sentence. S – SS
The student reads. The same procedure is for Worksheet 3.
Learning outcomes:
Select the comparative or the superlative form of the adjectives in order to fill in a text.
Indicators:
They will read the information chart in English.

They will elicit for the proper adjectives to suit the context.
