Asean Summit 2017 is hosted by the Philippines.

Partnering for a change, engaging the world is

the theme which is a reference to Duterte’s campain slogan change is coming. Based on what I
have read, the ASEAN Summit is a semiannual meeting held by the members of the Association
of Southeast Asian Nations in relation to economic, and cultural development of Southeast
Asian countries. So, for me,ASEAN Summit will benefit the Philippines by discussing the things
our country need to develop and improve. Which they can help us to improve or grow our
economy. If we have a higher economy growth the greater the chance that investors will invest in
our country. And by the help of other ASEAN member states our country will have connections or
collaboration with the other states. Where in the other states can help us in our country’s need but
when the time come that they will need our help we can return the favor. By having Asean summit
we can gain mutual assistance on matters of common interest in the economic, social, cultural. It
can also provide assistance to us in the form of training and research facilities in the educational
which they might give donations that can help the education of the students. Asean summit can
make every state members to become one and to unite and decide what is the best thing that they
might able to do to grow our economy. Asean summit can establish our relationship with the other
state members. So having a good relationship with the other state members can bring more help or
assistance for our country and also it can bring peace with each other. As we all know, our country,
Philippines has alot of issues that even other country interfer. But by the use of Asean summit they
can discuss the issues that are happening or may occur in the future in our society so that they can
give their opinions and help us to decide on what are the better way to help us to solve this kind
matters.
