I am very familiar with the 12 modules as set out in your pupillage guide for the mode of execution.
I’m keenly aware of your ‘minimum requirement’ policy as listed out in your pupillage guidance, but as
often is, superficial academic results only go so far as to reveal the substance of the candidate.
Nevertheless, I humbly seek your indulgence for me to show cause.

A quick glance of my resume will draw your attention to the fact that, I am a strong Class ii upper
candidate, but for medical law, a nebulous and unconventional subject requiring arguing abstract
jurisprudence of unconscious patient. But I am adamant that the consistency of the other convention
subjects amongst other things indicates the favourable points for an application, to which I make this
appeal.

Melding well with your service orientation is a crucial aspect which I consider my academic
foundation reflects well. Primarily Banking and Financial Services Law, and Commercial Law,
subjects which encompass the abuse of financial products, consumer protection, insurance
protection schemes, and regulation compliance which constitutes a staple area of service of your
prestigious firm.
Alternate Dispute Resolution exercises, which is another area of practice in your law firm. During one
of my University assessment, our 2-man team managed to score one of the highest scores in the
module partly due to a well-balanced approach to our negotiation settlement. In such experiences,
keen awareness of the importance of communication and recognising emotional and social
intelligence culminated into mutually beneficial settlement in convince our opponents that it wasn’t
too detrimental to their interest. In my 3rd year, I supplemented these skills by learning Crisis
Diplomacy, a subject which concerns the theoretical methodology of conflict resolution in diplomacy.
I conducted a research paper requiring an expedition amongst tribes in Sarawak concerning their economic
standard of living. The experience of creating rapport with the local amidst the data collection stage contributed
to improving my confrontational resilience abilities. Such traits in practice were relevant when confronting the
state government welfare department concerning their welfare policy.
Monash University business I am undoubtedly assisted from rigorous training I received during my business and commerce course at Monash
(as an added advantage) University. The course nurtured effective communication through weekly practical exercises. These exercises
emphasised coordinating with others, people management and team building. All of which instilled a degree of
creativity, emotional intelligence and cognitive flexibility.

Beyond Academics The culmination of both intellect and soft-skills have been instrumental, as it has enabled the opportunity of
(elected roles) securing leadership positions. Namely as an elected creative director of the South Australian Matriculation
Student Council, and Publicity director of Malaysian Singaporean Society. An essential part of which involves
the exercise of judgement and decision making and as well as critical thinking.
