Set Induction/ Introduction/ Recap of Previous Lesson: Physical excercise Duration: 20 mins
Everyone stand up next to your desk. Now raise one of your legs and balance there for a little while. Now put
your leg down and close your eyes. Raise the same leg and again, try to balance. Did you notice a difference?
Why do you think this happened ?
Students understand that to balance ourselves coordination of eyes, ears and muscles are required.
You can balance much easier when your brain has input from your eyes and your inner ear (hairs in the
semicircular canals). Both senses tell your brain if you are sitting, lying down, standing on your head, etc.
Without both signals or with conflicting signals, your brain does not always interpret the information correctly.
Class 1 & 2:
Activity 1: discussion Title: nervous and chemical coordination Duration: 50 mins
End of Class Formative Assessment: Assessing the presentation of neuron structure by each group.
Class 3 and 4:
Activity 2 : Game and Dramatization title: passing of impulse, types of neuron, types of nerves, reflex action
Duration: 15 mins
Teacher divides the class into 3 group. Each group forms a line and stands perpendicular to each other. The groups will
stand at some distance from the other group. The groups will not face each other. The last members of the group will
have few erasers in their hands. Teacher will pinch the first student then the student will pass a tap to the next student
till the tap passes to the last student of their group. The last student on receiving a tap will throw his erasers to the first
student of next group.then he passes a tap in this group. This will continue till it reaches the last student of third group.
