Getting what you like is Success ( External Winner ) and Liking What you get is
Satisfaction (Internal Winner).
Can we tune ourselves to be an External Winner anchored to Internal Winner ?
To do what you like and like what you do is indeed a divine work. Work is an
opportunity to find oneself.
If we serve the universe, the universe will serve us. Let us experience the Law of
Grace.

Buddha was addressing a large gathering of disciples. During the discourse, a

person, out of jealousy, abused Buddha. Buddha lovingly replied, 'People are
waiting to listen to my discourse in the neighbouring village; please do come
tomorrow.'

The man was shocked. He asked Buddha, 'Are you not hurt by my harsh words?' Buddha
replied, 'In order to hurt me, you should have met me before my enlightenment.
Just like a fire losing its potency when it contacts water, so too are your words;
even though full of fury, when they reached me they lost their bitter tinge.'

This is the nourishing centre one has to awaken.

Man lives in the hope of changing the world, so that he would be happy.
Let us change ourselves. The world will change by itself.

Life is both fair and unfair. Learn to be a good finder.

Studies have shown happy people are good finders and at the same time they have the
courage to encounter unfairness.

Honest, human self-reflection and collaborative problem-solving are vastly superior

to progressive discipline for helping your team grow and learn together.

Progressive discipline is a way for employers to set up a power-based, parent/child

relationship with their employees.

They set the tone for the relationship in their recruiting process. They reinforce
the parent/child dynamic through their policies and procedures and cement it once a
year with an annual performance review.

Then they use progressive discipline to keep people in line.

It's a new millennium now. The smartest people, the folks who have the best ideas
and who care the most about their work are the ones who make your business or break
it.

People who go through the motions and keep their heads down won't grow your
business, but if you cannot step out of the mode of managerial power and control,
you'll never see your team mates' brilliance.

WISDOM WORDS
=========================================================================
There are two types of actions; outer & inner. What determines the quality of one's
life is the inner action thoughts and emotions. Be alert to every moment in your
thoughts & emotions and learn to relax.

As you read this book, you will be sensitive to your thoughts and emotions. Observe
the gaps between the thoughts and emotions. It is in these gaps your life will
start flowering and relaxing.
=========================================================================
LIVING IN PRESENT
=========================================================================
There are two types of people, one who lives in present and others who live in past
or future. Our minds are hijacked by our past or future and hence not available to
the present. Thus, the present is polluted by the past or future. Ones being is
powerful if one lives in present and does not procrastinate.

=========================================================================
55% of employees want to work in an organisation with 'Family Feel' where leaders
are viewed as mentors or parents. 46% say they actually work in a formalised and
structured place governed by procedures.

Employees want balanced, future focussed feedback, and only 27% feel it should be
conveyed as a ranking or rating.
Respected Mr. & Mrs. Wadikar,

The Acculturation program was an excellent way to get acquainted with Cooper
Culture, its Mile Stones, Future Vision, and Its Work History. The Session was fun
filled, informative, friendly and helpful. We had immense fun in getting along with
our new managers and seasoned representatives of Cooper Staff like Mr N R Lokhande
Sir, Mr. Pravin Jagtap, and others. Words cannot express our feelings. You and
Madam are a source of great energy.

The sentiments echoed in panel discussion followed by Q & A session in

Acculturation program

Shri. Zal Cooper Sir

People will believe you, if you believe in yourself.
It is not what you have, but it is how you use what you have which makes a
big difference in our life.
Believe in change and the opportunities it brings with it.
He gives not the best who gives the most. But he gives the most who gives the
best.

So connect the dots, Share your vision, best practices, clearly see and understand
the opportunities for growth within each interconnection point as you become a
part of cooper corps growth story.

Shri. J B Patil sir

If you go on comparing, life becomes miserable. If somebody is better than you,
learn from them; enjoy others success. No one can have all the good qualities.
Someone will always be better than you at some level. Do not whip yourself with
this comparison.
A tree laden with fruits always bend low.
Knowledge does not reside in books. It reflects in behaviour of the people.
Life is not measured by the time span we live but by the quality built into it.

You work across and influence people without authority. This is one big thing that
we value.

Shri. N P Deshpande Sir

The choice in our life is either we come from commitment or complaint. We have to
decide that. Invariably we find people who are powerful are those who operate from
commitment. And those who are powerless, always operate from complaint. Ones state
of being will be powerful if one operates from commitment. The Commitment to give
the best in opportunity, the life presents.
Cans create success and Cants create failures. Attitude is more important
than mere dry facts. We should have an Attitude of I Can rather than I Cant
.

Shri. A H Pharas sir

We are often brain washed into serving the "I." Can we wash our brains for
serving the 'We'? To serve the 'We' is being creative. When we are creative, a
great contentment arises. The acme of creativity is the flowering of
consciousness. There is no fulfillment more satisfying than this.
Learn to give your best. The more you give the more will you receive in return;
In a world fuelled with change.
Do not give up under the impression that "Opportunity is Nowhere!"
Take that sentence in the right spirit that "Opportunity is Now Here!" and move
forward in your life!
Mr and Mrs Wadikar
You & madam encourage us to see the poetry of life through the loving eye of
our soul.

Power of Goodness collects stories from the lives of real people that depict
instructional moments in how to rely on the power of goodness in difficult
situations and the amazing results of doing so. The stories are written for
children and illustrated by children in ways compelling to people of any age,
depicting the excitement of action, the joy of seeing from new perspectives and the
encouragement of small acts that make big differences, through books, exhibitions,
talks and short workshops. Our vision is to inspire readers, listeners, viewers,
and participants to act with courage and to bring good into the lives around them.

Three things are necessary to make everyman great, Every nation great
1. Conviction of power of goodness
2. Absence of Jealousy and suspicion
3. Helping all who are trying to be and do good.

The great secret is absence of jealousy. Be always ready to concede to the opinions
of your brethren and try always to conciliate.

I am unfolding a vision, of experience because the whole vision of Indian culture

is to transform from samsara bondage to nirvana freedom.

We are in a state of samsara always in deficiency.

Nirvana is a state of internal sufficiency. To experience sufficiency in our lives
is the overall vision.

New Patterns are replacing the old one's rapidly. leaders should embody the values
they advocate and accomplish their vision through influence, Not Authority. They
are guided by their passion and heightened self awareness, they are able to create
synergy with their genuine desire to serve others through their leadership.

Leaders should think ahead of the curve to keep their organisations relevant and
meaningful.

They have to consistently out-perform and be ahead of the curve to keep their
organisations relevant and meaningful.

They are inclusive. Any great change cannot be accomplished without bringing
together diverse people and ideas by mobilising them around a compelling vision of
the future.

They have to ignite positive and purposeful change that goes beyond profit making,
creating a philosophy of initiative, collaboration and adventure.

Leaders possess a powerful vision of what they want to accomplish and they know
the only way to achieve it is doing what needs to be done.

Leaders are agile and action oriented.

Leaders challenge assumptions and framework and have fearless approach to life.

The leaders feel " What is bad is that at the time of differences arising, the
individuals concerned do not rise to the occassion. They fail miserably in the
divine test "

Remaining within the confines of decency is a virtue. Despite the differences,

positive behaviour is both a possibility and necessity.

=============
The Art of living is the Art of Growing. Growing is the thermometer of your
commitment.
Act with a commitment that every problem contains within itself the ingredients of
solution.
Imagination, inspiration and commitment to excel are the mother of creativity.
Many people have faith in their doubts and doubt their faith.
The ability to enjoy everything is a quality of an awakened consciousness. Your
commitment to enjoy should be above your likes and dislikes.

THREE TYPES OF EMPLOYEES

1. ENGAGED - These employees work with passion and feel a profound connection to
their company. They drive innovation and move the organisation
2. NOT ENGAGED - These employees are sleepwalking through their workday, putting
time -- but not energy or passion -- into their work.
3. ACTIVELY DISENGAGED employees aren't just unhappy at work; they're busy acting
out their unhappiness. Everyday, these workers undermine what their engaged co-
workers accomplish.

LEADERSHIP QUALITIES

Managing change is an art of good leadership. To be successful in life, one has to

have good leadership qualities. A good leader has a very important vision.
LEADERS ARE CLEAR THINKERS
LEADERS LEAD THEMSELVES
LEADERS LEAD OTHERS
LEADERS ARE AUTHENTIC

===============================================================================
Ordinary paradigm is, whatever is mine is good.
The extra - ordinary paradigm is, whatever is good is mine.

In esoteric teaching there is an important law called the law of the three. The
positive effort you put in, is called the first force. As you put in positive force
there is a negative force that would affect the positive force. This negative force
is called the second force. If one continuously puts in positive effort, there
would be a third force that would descend and transform the negative force into a
positive force. This is called the law of three.

If you do not continue putting a positive force, then the negative force would take
over. So the law of three says be open to the negative force but continue the
positive effort.
=================================================================================
A good leader does not worry too much about his career but works on the careers of
the others. When a successful man was asked what was his greatest asset he
answered, 'I consider the ability to awaken the enthusiasm in my people as the
greatest asset that I possess."

To awaken people's enthusiasm is the greatest skill that a leader can possess. When
Andrew Carnegie was asked about the secrets of his success he answered, "One should
have the patience of a gold miner when working with people. To get a little gold
you have to patiently remove a lot of dust."

Someone has stated beautifully, "There is a difference between a boss and a

leader."

The boss pushes the subordinates; the leader inspires them.

The boss depends on authority; the leader on goodwill.
The boss says "I" the leader says "WE."
The boss says 'You Go'; the leader says 'LET US GO.'

WORK LIFE INTEGRATION
=====================

A talk by Swami Sukhabodhananda, an international management and spiritual guru and

the founder chairman of Prasanna Trust was also organised as a part of the event.
During his talk on 'Work life integration', Swamiji talked about the importance of
creating a work life balance in life. According to Swamiji, balance is all about
creating an order and unless we create harmony within ourselves, balance cannot be
achieved.

The most important paradigm in work life balance is that we focus more on the
quantity rather than the quality. We must focus more on quality of time spend with
family than the number of hours we spend with them; this will create a balance.

Swamiji also spoke about how situations have an impact on everyone's lives. "At any
point of time in life, we will have problems, so taking a creative response to any
problem is important as we will see different opportunities opening up. Changing
the mental attitude will make a person master of a situation than a slave of the
situation. Mastering the situations and rejoicing on what you have and working
towards what you do not have is the positive way of life," added Swamiji.

The day long event saw panel discussions on various topics including role of HR in
change management, performance
management, HR as strategic business partner, etc which saw participation from
eminent HR heads from diverse
industries.

Procrastination creates weeds
=============================
A young girl was traveling in a crowded bus. She sensed something moving
inside her skirt. Out of inhibition, she was in a dilemma of finding out what it
was even though she was experiencing a severe pain. She got down from the bus and
walked all the way home. Even on the road her inhibition prevented her to remove
the cause of her pain. When she reached the gate of her house,
she fell down dead. Later it was found that a black scorpion was the cause of her
death.
Look at the price one has to pay for harbouring inhibition. If parents themselves
are inhibited, they transmit the same energy to their children also.

At an young age, I experienced a sad incident. My aunt, wife of a judge, died in a

fire accident. While cooking, her saree caught fire; her inhibition prevented her
from removing her saree and save herself. She felt shy to run from the kitchen to
her bedroom as there were guests at home. In the process, the fire engulfed her
totally and she died.

Procrastination creates weeds and thereby destroys our lives silently.

In the same way, there may be an important letter to be drafted in the office, but
we would postpone it for more than a week saying, 'We can do it tomorrow' or 'Let
us take care of it later.' Finally the very purpose of writing that letter would be
lost.

You can perform any task without procrastination on the same day itself!

Please understand that these will never return

 A word that is uttered
 An opportunity that is missed
 A moment that is lost

Contemplation
Act out of happiness; not for happiness.
An alert mind can open any door. A lazy mind knows how to close doors.

The longest life is but a bundle of moments. The remembrance of a well spent life
makes life sweet.

Procrastination is another form of mental lethargy. A lazy man is like a dead dog
which cannot bite.

An alert mind can open any door. A lazy mind knows how to close doors.
Try changing the source of your happiness and then see what happens!

==============
One's self-talk is one's best friend or worst enemy.
Walk with the enlightened and be enlightened. Mix with the unwise and be misled.

Tension is a habit. Relaxation is also a habit. Make it a habit to be relaxed and

happy.
==============

Believe in life uplifting Goals. Not in life defeating Goals or desires.

Life is not measured by the time span we live but by the quality built into it.
We get lost in the unessential and miss what is essential.
Negativity is not in a given situation; it is more in us. For example when we say,
'Picnic is spoiled because of rain'... a negative feeling is generated is it in
rain or in us?

0. When you focus on being a Blessing, God makes sure that you are always Blessed
in abundance.
1. When God gives us problems, it is to humble us and not to tumble us.
2. Pain is a gift from the divine to look into what is happening more deeply.
3. You should be the master of the mind rather than mind being your master. You
should use the mind rather than let the mind use you.
4. Mind creates misery by its desires, expectations, anger and jealousy
stimulated by unnecessary comparisons.
5. When one is alert, one can transform poison into medicine.
6. A noisy and pushy mind leads one to a state of unhappiness.
7. In a seed, there is an infinite capacity to grow. Infinity exists in a finite
seed. A seed planted becomes a tree. From a tree again there is a fruit, from a
fruit there is a seed, from a seed a tree, so in a finite seed there is the
infinite capacity to grow.
8. Worry is a form of identification. It is useless. Unfortunately many of us
think it is right to worry about someone we love. This is madness in motion. Give
up this voluntary form of suffering.
9. Learn to be a witness to your thoughts and feelings. In the witnessing
consciousness, there is no identification with anything. Identification leads to
misery.
10. Can you dwell a little more on the inner world, the mind? Generally, we are
present physically in a place while being psychologically elsewhere. Outer seeing
makes you see physically where you are. Inner seeing makes you see psychologically
where you are.
11. There is no greater force than awareness. When one increases awareness, even a
poison can turn into a medicine and with no awareness a medicine can become a
poison.
12. There are differences in a relationship. Do not give too much of importance to
them. Give importance to your love and commitment, to your commonality, like you
enjoy the joy rides in an amusement park, even though it appears scary. It gives
you jitters but still you enjoy. Enjoy your relationship.
13. Negative emotions poison life. Like avoiding poisonous food, avoid negative
emotions. Like how you are very alert when you see a poisonous snake, be very aware
and alert of negative emotions. Let them come, dont identify with them. Dont
participate in them.
14. If you go on comparing, life becomes miserable. If somebody is better than you,
learn from them; enjoy others success. No one can have all the good qualities.
Someone will always be better than you at some level. Do not whip yourself with
this comparison.
15. The Gita encourages us to be calm and serene irrespective of the situations
that we face in life. Only such an individual is closer to enlightenment who
remains calm. The greatest discipline is in keeping our minds calm in spite of
external turbulent situations. This is the core teaching of the Gita.
16. A Zen Master was asked about the secret of his being always happy. The Zen
Master replied, When I wake up in the morning, I ask myself whether I want to be
in - heaven or hell? Then I decide to be in heaven. The moment I decide to be in
heaven, I create heaven in every moment of my life.
17. The choice in our life is either we come from commitment or complaint. We have
to decide that. Invariably we find people who are powerful are those who operate
from commitment. And those who are powerless, always operate from complaint. Ones
state of being will be powerful if one operates from commitment.
18. Another dimension one needs to add is to operate from selflessness. When we do
something that is selfless, we find unknown forces mysteriously strengthen our
hands. Pathanjali, a great Yogi says, Do something good be in the path of
goodness, and you will find forces that mysteriously help you.
19. Understand that you are the creator of your suffering. This understanding will
help you dissolve suffering. An unhappy person in heaven will convert even heaven
into hell; a happy person can convert hell into heaven. So, change is not required
anywhere except within oneself.
20. There are two types of sufferings :- Legitimate; Illegitimate; Legitimate
suffering is sorrow that is proportionate to the situation. For example your son
dies in an accident. This sorrow is valid. But if you continue worrying for more
than one or two years, then there is a psychological aspect to it. To handle
legitimate sufferings, one should understand that such suffering is the result of
your past deedsIllegitimate suffering is suffering that is not proportionate to
the situation. For example, somebody calls you a fool. You brood over it for days
on end. It is this suffering that one can end through right thinking.
21. When your suffering is due to Karma, your past deeds, you have to understand
that you are only repaying your debt.
22. Surrender is a leap from the ordinary to the sacred; from the logical to the
cosmic. Surrender is like opening the third eye.
23. Surrender is in the realization that God gives me what I need more than what I
want. Surrender is trust. Surrender is being open to life.
24. Mostly, tensions emerge from the way your mind languages your experience. For
example, a student runs several miles and enjoys running but when it is made a
punishment, running creates tension. Where does the tension come from? It is
through the interpretations in ones mind.
25. Observe a surfer. the stronger the waves, the more does he enjoy it. He
decides that he is going to enjoy the waves while surfing. When waves are strong,
he is totally present in the moment. There are no interfering thoughts in him. In
such space something in him makes him very alive to the life around him.
26. Learn to be in the present. Be aware of the present in total. There is joy
being in the present. Do not get lost either in the past or future.
27. Learn to live from the higher self and not from the lower self. The higher
self encourages you, as it is filled with positiveness. The lower self is an
interfering self. It discourages you. It acts more like an obstacle.
28. Can my house be like that of a rich man? Or can my house be better than that of
my neighbour? You are always lost in comparison. But life is simple. Ambitions make
it complex. Only if you stop the greedy game of going ahead of others, can you be
happy.
29. A meditative attitude is very different. Meditation awakens your awareness.
Once your awareness is of high order, you realise the foolishness of comparison.
You would not allow others success to define your failure. You would see the
beauty of what is and not get lost in what should be.
30. You would see the uniqueness of yourself. Everyone is unique. Everyone is
incomparable. You would learn the art of seeing beauty even in imperfection. You
would participate in the miracle of life than being busy in judging life. You would
listen to the music of life. You would listen to the mantra of life or the song of
life. Your listening would be with your heart. Without this inner and outer, music
will not be heard. With this, your perception awakens to newer heights.
31. Commitment is the language of the wise; complaint is the language of the fools.
Commitment is a responsibility and also includes accountability. In life, one
should be responsible as well as accountable. Generally one takes responsibility
without accountability; this weakens ones being.
32. We have both - an actor and a thinker in us. Every time we lie, the thinker
warns us that we are lying and the actor asks us to shut up and continue telling
lies. In such a state, there is a split in our being between the actor and the
thinker. It is like riding a chariot with two horses, with the horses going in two
different directions. Commitment creates integrity. In this state, it is easier to
bring forth the excellence in our lives.
33. Excellence happens when there is love to grow and contribute.
34. Creativity occurs primarily through the power of intention. Intention is like
sowing a seed in existence. Allow it to germinate. Allow the forces of nature to
nurture life.
35. Commitment also involves dropping illusions. We do not see the world as it is.
We see the world projected through our verbose minds.
36. When you are unhappy, there is a pay-off, People give you sympathy. When you
are happy, you have to pay a price. people feel jealous of you.
37. Since childhood you play this racket of getting attention. As you grow up this
game continues. Have you seen beautiful girls? They tempt men and when a man falls
for them, they push him aside and thus feel strong. This is called the kiss me off
racket. Men also use anger as a racket to protect their inner wound. Anger in such
a case becomes a defence mechanism.
38. Rackets are manipulative games to seek attention. They are types of mental
sickness. Ones psychological immune system becomes weak. Hence, one is prone to
the path of wrong, like when ones bodys immune system is weak; one is prone to an
infection.
39. Become aware. Each time you are miserable, it is your choice. This is your
game. You have some hidden agenda. If you see the foolishness of the hidden agenda,
then you will drop it. It is like being tempted to eat excess sweets, but the
moment you know it is harmful; you will not be tempted to eat them.
40. Buddha, Krishna and Jesus can still be communicated to, if only you are more
meditative. Their presence is never destroyed. Lord Krishna in the Gita says,
They are fools who consider me to be only the body. All great masters can be
connected to, if you are more meditative. You need not be frustrated if you cant
meet your master. Be in silence. Ask your question in that space of silence and you
get an answer not from the mind but from the beyond. You have to experience this.
This is not a matter of logic; it is a matter of experience
41. Do we have likes and dislikes or do likes and dislikes have us? As unconscious
beings, likes and dislikes control our lives. Conscious beings are masters of likes
and dislikes. When likes and dislikes are under your control, they will serve you
and in such a state, you are not messed up. Likes and dislikes are not the problem.
However, do they control your life, or are you controlling them, is the real
question.

If you go on comparing, life becomes miserable.

If somebody is better than you, learn from them; enjoy others success.
No one can have all the good qualities.
Someone will always be better than you at some level.
Do not whip yourself with this comparison.

THE difference between who you are and WHo you want to be is WHat you Do.

The inner ecology is disturbed, if your soul is disturbed.

The internal ecology disturbs the external ecology.

Heart has its own logic that the head cannot understand.
Be in harmony with life and nature will bless you thousand folds.

An unwise man fights his own shadow.

Many doors open when one has patience.

World is like an electrical room, learn to use it wisely.
To do what you like and like what you do is indeed a divine work. Work is an
opportunity to find oneself.
If we serve the universe, the universe will serve us. Let us experience the Law of
Grace.

Many raise this question with pain, concern and an element of doubt.

ART OF GIVING
(Philosophy of Life)
One need not to be very rich to give something back to the society, rather one must
be poor to know the luxury of giving. Charity is an important tenet in every
religion because compassion is essential for every human being. Daan in Hinduism
and Buddhism, tithe in Christianity and Zakat in Islam uphold the philosophy of
giving. One must understand that Happiness does not result from what we get, but
from what we give. Giving is not always giving only material goods which are just
one form of generosity. It is rather an attitude for Being kind, attentive and
honest in dealing with others; offering praises where it is due; giving comfort and
advice where needed and simply sharing with some one all these are forms of
generosity and these do not require any particular level of material wealth. That
is what we mean by Art of Giving. Let the Art of Giving as a value be
inculcated in every heart, because we make a living by what we get, but we make a
life by what we give.

The man was shocked. He asked Buddha, 'Are you not hurt by my harsh words?' Buddha

This is the nourishing centre one has to awaken.

Man lives in the hope of changing the world, so that he would be happy.
Let us change ourselves. The world will change by itself.

Life is both fair and unfair. Learn to be a good finder. Studies have shown happy
people are good finders and at the same time they have the courage to encounter
unfairness.

To do what you like and like what you do is indeed a divine work. Work is an

=============

Long ago, I was travelling with one of my students on a bike in Bangalore. It was
night time. At a turning, all of a sudden there was a car without headlights plying
on the wrong side of the road. My student was quick enough to the bike away and we
had a narrow escape. But the indicator lamps of the bike were damaged in this
encounter.

The driver of the car who had come on the wrong side simply drove away, as if
nothing had happened. My student could not control his anger. v Shall we give a
chase to that and stop him? Or shall we inform the police?' he was seriously
thinking on those lines.

Finally when I managed to calm him down, I discovered a truth. My student was not
angry at the damage to his bike or the possibility of an accident. He was angry
because the driver had left without even uttering one word of apology. That hurt
him the most.

Do you know when a person gets hurt the most? It may be through insult or harsh
words. It is when someone considers the other less valuable than any material
possession; then the person gets deeply wounded. So, being indifferent to another
is the greatest insult one can inflict.

Reflect on this story.

An Octroi officer was posted on a particular check post. He observed every day, a
cyclist passing the check post carrying sandbags with him. This continued every day
for years. There was no tax on sand and the Octroi officer allowed sand bags to
pass.

Only after retirement did the Octroi officer find a big cycle shop near the place
he used to work. To his surprise, he came to know that the cyclist, who used to
carry sand bags, was the owner of the shop. On enquiry, it came to light that
the cyclist, all along smuggled one cycle a day under the pretext of carrying
sandbags

The Octroi officer to his dismay found that during his tenure, he had only checked
the sand bags... missing the essential.

So often, we get lost in the unessential and miss what is essential.

Therefore, the commitment of a Professional person should be to fulfil the

fundamental desire and not get lost in the unessential desires.

Believe in life uplifting Goals or desires. Not in life defeating Goals or desires.

How to cross hurdles
A husband never bothered about the likes and dislikes of his wife. The wife's
reciprocal attitude perfectly suited her husband. One night, the husband had not
returned home till midnight. The wife, not worried about him, had long since
retired to bed. In the middle of the night, there was a knock at the door. The wife
opened the door. It was her husband. He had brought a monkey along with him. As
soon as she saw the monkey, the wife was furious. However, she swallowed her anger
and went to bed. He placed the monkey on the bed between him and his wife.

Now she could contain her anger no more!

'How can you let a monkey sleep by my side? How can I bear this nuisance and nasty
smell?'

'Of course! Haven't I got used to your foul smell ever since I married you? So,
soon this monkey too would get used to it!' said the husband. These pricking words
hurt the wife no end. On the same night, their marital life came to an end!
Here, we have to recall the words of Dalai Lama.

If the reason for your being born on the earth should be fulfilled, please help
others. In case you are not able to help others, at least try not to hurt anyone!'

what happens in some houses? Husband and wife tear each other apart with their
words. As the levels of knowledge, skills and abilities of human beings rise
higher, the minds have become narrower!

In business management schools emphasis is laid on a subject Interpersonal skills!

This subject teaches us how to develop good and healthy relationships with co-
workers, superiors, subordinates and clients.

A survey was conducted for the same. Do you know the result of this survey?

For a person to succeed in his profession, 35 per cent subject knowledge is

sufficient. But, what is important is, 65 per cent knowledge about interpersonal
skills! That is to say, only a person, who knows to strengthen relationships, can
surpass any barriers to growth and come up in his profession. If the skills for
strengthening relationships are necessary at the workplace where one works for
monetary returns, then can you imagine how important they are at home too?

Even if a person has made a mistake, do not tell him, 'What you have done is
wrong.' On the contrary, help him see what is right rather than make him feel
wrong. Even if you have to criticize someone apply the sandwich technique....
place your criticism between praises. There are many communication skills like
disarming, pre-emptive strikes, multiple closes, emptying technique ....

Recently, a reputed University in USA conducted a survey to analyze what are the
characteristics of persons who rise quickly in their professional life.

Do you know the result of this survey?

pre-emptive strikes, multiple closes, emptying technique ....
For example, you Can instantly build a rapport with the other by

applying warm up technique by asking questions which impress the other

using "Me too' technique to be one with the speaker's interest
avoiding 'I and Me' and using 'You' more often

These are the primary lessons in Interpersonal skills. These are suitable not only
for the working environment, but also in intimate relationships.

Today, in many houses, the relationship between a husband and wife is like a stone.
But the strange fact is, even stone carvings in places like Khajuraho are full of
life and romantic splendour! This was the vision of our Rishis .... Sages of
India.
