GUIDELINES / DIRECTIONS:

1. All members must make a substantive oral presentation.

2. Each group has about 15 minutes to present & 15 minutes for answering questions.
3. Submit a print-out in word format. Use clean & short bond papers. Staple / ring-bind the output. Remember to cite your
references using the APA style. Submit this form (properly accomplished) with your paper.
4. Format :
A. Company background
B. External analysis – Porter’s Five Forces, Threats & Opportunities
C. Company analysis – Firm Weaknesses & Strengths, Financials (note: for ratios analysis, use at least 3 years of ratios
(i.e. 4 years of raw data)), Valuation (note: for valuation, use at least one discount model & at least one relative valuation
model).
D. Recommendation – e.g. Buy, Hold, Sell (note: only select one recommendation) with explanation(s)
5. Deadline of submission of print-out: DECEMBER 5, 2017
Contingency plan : Should there be a cancellation of classes on the deadline, the new deadline would be on December
7, 2017.
6. Oral presentation : DECEMBER 5, 2017

Contingency plan (1 option) : If there will be no classes on December 5, 2017, all groups will present on December 7,
2017.

Contingency plan (2 option) : If there will be no classes on December 7, 2017, there will be no more presentation. The
entire SECURITIES ANALYSIS GRADE will be based on the print-out (grading system under this option (maximum # of
points): Company background = 14, External analysis = 24, Company analysis = 34, Recommendation = 14, & Print-out = 14).

Notes :

A. This is 20% of your final grade in INVEMFI.

B. If one (1) or several of the member(s) is(are) absent & / or late for the oral presentation, the group will get a deduction.
C. If the group doesn’t present on the scheduled date, the group will just get a maximum grade of 10 points.
D. Submit / present during class hours only.
E. A late submission of the print-out will not be accepted.

I. All contingency plans assume there is(are) no make-up classes. Thus, if there is(are) make-up classes, the schedule may be changed.

REMINDER : For ALL group works (this includes group quiz(zes), seatwork(s), etc., if any), any group member(s) who lacks contribution or
doesn’t contribute to the task involved will get a grade of zero for the particular task(s) if the rest of his / her groupmates gives the faculty a signed letter
stating the groupmate’s lack of participation / non-participation.
