Background of the Project

The innovation project design E – Locker (Electronic Locker) System functionally

comprises of a hardware and a software in its assembly. The development of construction of

E – Locker that operates electronically through the integration of a system for programming

the data codes that which follows the modern type of E – Locker using electronic devices

such as Arduino UNO and ID Barcode Reader additionally the software system distinctly

analyzed and designed to come up system will aid for the user’s to install and control where

the user’s make life easier.

Rooted from the concerns of the innovators about the dilemma that held and facing

every student’s whereby suffering too many thing and belongings to carry as these days, our

innovation is pertaining to help every student who’s suffer this problem.

This project is to provide the enough security for their belongings to satisfy the user’s

needs. Security nowadays considered as significant topic specifically in school.

NTRODUCTION

This project includes background of the project, statement of the problem,

objectives and significance.

Schools nowadays are equipped with high quality technology for the learning of the

students such as projectors, libraries, air conditions and many more. Student’s and especially

college students bring a lot of things to school to use for different classes. They usually bring

paper works, learning materials and personal hygiene items.

Generation as of today always seeking for convenience, they want life to be easier

than before, they want a hassle-free environment. But how they will achieve those, when

everyday they are carrying a lot of things? Spinal Problem and Back Pain problem caused

by carrying large or heavy backpacks can be avoided to having students to use lockers.

Having a Locker is the solution. It will bring a lot of convenience to students as it

allows them to carry only the things needed for a certain class. They can just access the

locker in between classes. Locker also serve as the only space of students in schools, so

they have their own locker to decorate their own make more their locker creatively and

posting anything they like.

The innovators come up the idea to innovating locker the good thing is E – locker

project instead using of keys the locker will open using “ID’s that similar to the automated

entrance in the façade of Batangas State University.

Statement of the problem

The purpose of this project design is to modernize and upgrade the utilization and

system of existing lockers. Specifically, the study help to solve the following problem:

1. Spinal Problem and Back Pain problem caused by carrying large or heavy backpacks

can be avoided to having students to use lockers.

2. Increasing number of student carrying an important things everyday.

3. Unfortunate and often stressful situations that occur when expensive items go

missing.

4. Privacy, a personal area.

Objectives of the Projects

The main objectives of this project are to design and construct a “ID Locker” that can

be used by the students, faculty and staff of Batangas State University JPLPC Campus and

for the convenience to the students and faculty as it allows them to carry the things needed

for a certain class.

Especially this project aims to:

1. To design the ID Locker;

2. To estimate the cost and supplies and materials needed in the construction of the

project;

3. To construct the ID Locker;

4. To test and evaluate the functionality of the completed project.

Significance of the Study

Given in the idea of having a locker will beneficial to the students and future

innovators of Batangas State University.

To the University, it give ideas that their students will greatly contribute to their

competency and efficiency, that can also serves as a basic of new research indicates for

school.

To the Students, by this innovation project it serves as a tool for students will to

encourage the advantages of this innovation project would benefit them to prevent many

things to carry such as their projects, reports and personal hygiene.

To the Teachers, it aims to help them to secure all their belongings are all safe and

to provide them a crime free school. This unit prevents theft and misplacement of

possessions and eliminates any potential criminal’s temptation.

To the researchers, to gain sufficient and convincing information that will help them

to give time and interest on the studies. It can further help the students to become more

knowledgeable, and they can apply their learning in their everyday life.

To the future researchers, this study may serve as an inspiration and as basis for

their future study. The result of this undertaking may help them explore and may guide them

in conducting similar and related studies.
