I. OBJECTIVES
A. Contents Standards The learner:

B. Performance Standards  A written closely analysis and critical interpretation of literary text in terms of form and theme, with a description of its context derived
from research;
 An adaptation of a text into other creative forms using multimedia.
The learners shall be able to:
Value the contributions of local writers to the development of regional literary traditions. ( EN12Lit-Ic-24)
Objectives:

K – Identify how the tone is related to literary style and how both help create a unique meaning in the essay.
S – Respond critically to the essay and consequently articulate this response through a five minute skit re-enacting the aftermath of the Mt.
Pinatubo eruption.

A. Reviewing Previous (1 Minute)
Lesson or Presenting New
Lesson “A Twist on Twister
Put a twist on Twister by hiding words, phrases, and target language written on them. Students must scramble to find them wit h a
time limit. Add to the challenge by hiding scrambled messages, texts with some wrong information, or descriptions that need to be
corrected or put together.
B. Establishing a Purpose for “ Pandora’s Box” (1minute)

Each team will put all the words together to create a phrase which will revel of what will be our topic for today. The first team that can revel will
be safe for the first question.
C. Presenting Examples / (10 minutes) PowerPoint Presentation

 Reading of the Summary “Home of the Ashfall”

 Giving insights of the video
E. Developing Mastery (Leads 24minutes (preparation and presentation)

Students will be divided into 4. Each group will be given the following task
Group 1 – “I belong” ( Re-enacting)
Group 2 - “Draw” (Drawing of what happened in Mt. Pinatubo)
Group 3 - “Sing a song” (they will sing dedicated to the victim of Mt. Pinatubo)
Group 4 – “ Collage” (Arranging the picture, explain)
F. Finding Practical After the activity, students will be processed by asking the following questions. (4 minutes)

and Skill in Daily Living 1. What were the common feelings felt by those victim of the eruption?
2. How did the eruption change the life of the people?
G. Making Generalizations Deepen the discussion: (4minutes)
