Movement in the Country
Respected Sir,
Most humbly, I would like to draw your kind attention to the issue of Wastage Minimisation in
the Country, which I hope if pondered over properly has a tremendous possibility to bring about
a radical change rather upliftment in our society in terms of economy, environment, standard of
living and what not.
From our day to day observations and experiences it is our opinion that sheer wastage of
resources as well as essential commodities, pose a menacing problem to society & its economy.
For example, it can be cited that most precious commodities like water, food stuff, corn products
& recourses like power etc. are wasted like anything. On the other hand the land & spaces, (both
public & private) are either underutilized or unutilized. An exhaustive statistical survey can
reveal what a great amount of economy is at stake every year.
Sir, it is our common experience that in new projects be it mega, medium or small either
externally or internally funded, till date planned in an orthodox manner. For reference I would
point towards implementation of solar power, rain water harvesting, Disaster Risk Reduction etc.
and lack of modern technologies vis-à-vis lack of concentration towards minimisation of wastage.
There is plethora of example one very simple of which that owing to lack of adequate
technological infrastructure even the available human organs cannot be utilized in time.
Under the circumstances a drive towards enhancing mass awareness is essential starting
from the school level to every sphere of the society. Citizens do have a major role to contribute in
this process.
With this view we have endeavoured to build a forum under the name: ‘WASTAGE
MINIMISATION MOVEMENT’. And if such a movement can gather momentum, we hope our
government can also assist through adequate framing of law etc.
The success of such an endeavour will invariably lead to a strong foundation of our
economy as well as a big leap toward a healthy environmental condition.
I, along with my friends earnestly solicit your favour and blessings as our moral booster
for the success of the movement.
