ABSTRACT

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of professional


competence and emotional intelligence to the teacher performance on Semarang’s
Management Business State Vocational High School, is moderated by academic
supervision . Data were collected by using questionnaire method that was arranged
in 1 to 5 Likert scales. Data of this research is primary data which were collected
directly from teachers Semarang’s Management Business State Vocational High
School.
Population of this research is 133 teachers. Data analysis techniques used
are descriptive analysis, instrument quality test (validity and reliability), data
normality test , heteroscedasticity test, moderated regression analysis, model fit test
( goodness of fit and determination coefficient), and hypothesis test.
The results show that professional competence does not affect teacher
performance, Emotional intelligence and academic supervision have a significant
positive effect on teacher performance ( sig.0,000 and sig. 0.006 ), academic
supervision weaken the influence of professional competence on teacher
performance ( sig. 0.003 and beta -0.277 ). Academic supervision weakens the
influence of emotional intelligence on teacher performance ( sig , 0.001 and beta -
2.122 ). The equation model of moderated regression generated from this research
formulated as Y = - , 277 X 1 + 1,401 X 2 + 0,538 Z + 1,621 | X 1 -Z | + -2.122 | X
2 -Z |. Data distribution is stated as normal and the model fulfil goodness of fit.
Professional competence, emotional intelligence , and academic supervision as
coefficient determination (adjusted R 2 ) influence the teachers performance at
86.3%.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh
kompetensi professional dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja guru SMK
Negeri Bisnis Manajemen Kota Semarang yang dimoderasi oleh supervisi
akademik. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang disusun
dengan skala Likert 1 – 5. Data penelitian ini merupakan data primer yang diperoleh
langsung dari guru di SMK Negeri Bisnis Manajemen Semarang.
Populasi penelitian ini adalah 133 guru. Teknik analisis data yang
digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, uji kualitas instrumen (validitas dan
reliabilitas), uji normalitas data, uji heteroskedastisitas, uji regresi, uji model fit
(goodness of fit dan koefisien determinasi), serta uji hipotesis.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi professional tidak
berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru, kecerdasan emosional dan supervisi akademik
berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap kinerja guru (sig. 0,000 dan sig. 0,006),
supervisi akademik memperlemah pengaruh kompetensi profesional terhadap
kinerja guru (sig. 0,003 dan beta –0,277). Supervisi akademik memperlemah
pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja guru (sig, 0,001 dan beta -2,122).
Model persamaan regresi moderasi yang dihasilkan penelitian ini dirumuskan Y =
-,277X1 + 1,401X2 + 0,538Z + 1,621 |X1-Z| + -2,122 |X2-Z|. Data dinyatakan
berdistribusi normal dan model memenuhi goodness of fit. Kompetensi profesional,
kecerdasan emosional, dan supervisi akademik secara koefisien determinasi
(adjusted R2) mempengaruhi kinerja guru sebesar 86,3 %
