 Intake Air Flow Sensor (T126)

 The air flow sensor is a "hot wire sensor" where an electric

current heats the wire located in the sensor.
 The resistance of the wire increases as it gets hotter.
 When air passes the wire, it is cooled and the resistance allows
more current to flow to the circuit.
 The amount of current required to maintain the wire's temperature
is directly proportional to the amount of air that passes the wire.

 Intake Air Flow Sensor (T126)

The flow sensor is positioned in the intake pipe.

The air flow is measured in kg/min.
The flow sensor detects the quantity of air flowing into the engine.
The engine control unit uses the information to calculate the
air-to-fuel ratio and to regulate EGR content.
