Sizes:
Finished bust: 30 (32.5, 35, 38, 41.25, 44.5, 47, 50, 53.25,
56.5, 59.75)". Size 32.5" modeled with 1.5" negative ease.
Materials:
Yarn: Shibui Staccato, 65% superwash merino, 35% silk;
191 yds per 50g skein; color: #2041 Pollen, 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7,
8, 8, 9, 10, 10) skeins, 824 (908, 983, 1135, 1226, 1313,
1441, 1503, 1605, 1746, 1814) yds.
Shibui Dune, 50% baby alpaca, 25% baby camel, 25% silk;
142 yds per 50g skein; color #2041 Pollen, 6 (7, 7, 8, 9, 10,
11, 11, 12, 13, 13) skeins, 824 (908, 983, 1135, 1226, 1313,
1441, 1503, 1605, 1746, 1814) yds.
Needles: Size 5/3.75mm 16 & 24" (or longer) circular
needle and set of 4 or 5 double-pointed needles.
Other: Stitch markers, cable needle, waste yarn, tapestry
needle.
Gauge: 20 sts and 26 rnds = 4" in Stockinette Stitch with 1
strand of each yarn held together. 28-st Yoke Chart = 3.75"
wide. 30-st Large Yoke Chart = 4" wide.
Notes:
This rounded yoke pullover is constructed from the top
down in one piece with raglan increases to shape the
bodice. This pullover is designed with negative ease in
the bust. If you desire a looser fit work one size bigger.
There is no body shaping past the armholes until the
bottom cable band where hip room is added. The length
of the body is easily adjusted.
Neck Circumference:If you desire a smaller neckline
CO with a needle 1 or 2 sizes smaller, work the first rnd
of Yoke Chart then switch to the size needed for gauge
of the pattern. Going down 1 needle size should give a
neck circumference of about 18.25" and if you go down
2 sizes if should be about 17.25".
Hold 1 strand of each yarn together throughout pattern.
This cable pattern can seem complicated at first, but if
you think of it as moving around purls stitches it
becomes more clear.
