JOB DESCRIPTION

 Checks, operates and observes all activities/situations on plant

equipment, within the defined area of duty, under the supervision of
the Senior Operator.
 Participates to provide flexibility for labour in other areas and covers
the duties of Senior Operator (Field) when required. Monitors by
observation/routine patrol all activities on plant including the safe
behaviour of colleagues, other department personnel and contractors.
 Logs and records all running Plant parameters. Reports back giving
detailed information of any abnormalities and defects and performs
line diagnostics on equipment.
 Prepared equipment using established detailed procedures in the area
for maintenance and major overhauls. Liaises with maintenance staff
for safe monitoring of permits to work, prior to commencing /
completion and during ongoing work.
 Maintained a clear detailed log book of all activities, Plant conditions
and defects, etc. and gives precise hand over information to his job
relief.
 Carries out routine checks of Plant lubricating oil levels / water
contamination, flows, pressures and temperatures for all rotating
equipment and takes samples for laboratory analysis.
 Maintains adequate supplies of consumable chemicals and filter
elements, etc. for Plant requirements, good housekeeping practices in
the area and observes acceptable levels of risk perception.
  Carries out operational preparations on equipment prior to release for
maintenance. Supervises and authorises work on his assigned area by
ensuring proper implementation of permit to work instructions.
 Observes to have thorough knowledge of ESD systems associated with
his defined area of duty.
 Ensured the application of permit to work conditions by observing and
monitoring safe working practices.
 Maintained a high standard of HSE awareness, particularly the
environmental concerns and adheres fully to safely rules, and
participates in safety training / exercises.
 Provided "hands on job" type of training and coaching for all UAE
Developees as assigned to him.
 Carries out other similar or related duties such as participating in
Plant emergency exercise and performs as first line attack on fires or
leaks, etc.

Crude Oil Process Facilities:

Receiving crude from different Unman well head platform, HP and
LP separators, Gas Boot and free water knockout drum, Hydro
Cyclones, De-salination tank, Produced water tank, Skimmer Tank, and
storage tank operations, Emulsion treatment by electrostatic heater
treater, De-emulsifier injection pumps, Injection rate calculations,
Desalting crude through electric de-salters, Crude transfer pumps.
Compressors, Pig launching and receiving, Preparation of production
reports, well test data entry etc.
Very well awareness of Plant Safety equipment’s. Emergency
procedure during the past and present career experienced in the
following areas: -
Oil and gas gathering station, offshore well head and production
platforms, control panels, artificial lift system, Early Production
Facility and central production facility, gas compression, gas injection,
water treatment and water injection units. Duties included operation
of inlet production and test manifolds, test and bulk separators, free
water knockout Treater (Electrostatic) with burners, Degassing
vessels, Oil pumping and oil metering skid. Crude and gas dispatching
to onshore base, Checking and testing all emergency shutdown
switches with instrument technicians for calibration and fine-tuning
Handling of produced water treating plant, Filtering and high pressure
injecting water disposal pumps, Chemical injection system, Hydraulic
valves function testing and maintaining the unmanned wellhead
platforms. Operation of produced water flash vessel, produced water
skimmers, produced water filters (WEMCO).
Lab analysis for BS&W, salt and oil in water, Gas specific gravity,
Oil specific gravity. To Inject High Pressure water into well
reservoir for monitoring the well pressure. The high-pressure water
from the outlet of water injection unit will be used for this purpose.
Lube Oil Pump, Booster Pump, and Sea water Lifting Pump,
bactericide, Coagulant, Defoamer and Scale inhibitor operations.

Boiler And Plant Experience:

Operation of BABCOCK BOILERS, desalination plant, Reserve
feed tanks, Oil pumping station, heat trace system, Chemical dozing
pumps, Unloading heavy fuel oil Observation and hourly reading of
all parameters of control board Attending emergency operation and
start up boilers with field coordination. Maintaining log books and
energy reports / activity reports. Operation and control of wells
through different Headers for optimum production. Oil Manifolds, Gas
Lift Manifolds, Surge Tanks, Separators (Two / Three Phase),
Dehydration Tanks, Water disposal Pumps, Crude Transfer Pumps,
Chemical Injection, Gas / Oil Line Pigging Operations, Gas
Compressors, Inter-State Scrubber Gas Treatment Glycol Contactors,
Glycol Regeneration Unit, Gas Exports, Routing Sampling of Oil, Gas,
Glycol and Condensate. Isolation and De-isolation of Equipment’s,
Vessels and tanks for maintenance. Familiar with work permit systems,
Gas Testing, Mechanical and Electrical Isolation Procedures and Co-
ordination with maintenance Crew, Trouble Shooting, Reporting.
Natural Gas Processing Complex
Operation & control of well through headers for optimum production.
Separators (two /three phase), dehydration tanks, water disposal pumps,
chemical Injection, gas / oil line pigging operations, well testing etc. gas
export, routine sampling of gas glycol & condensate, isolation & De-
isolation of equipment, vessels & tanks for maintenance. Familiar with work
permit systems, Gas testing, mechanical and electrical Isolation Procedure,
Co-ordination with maintenance crew, troubleshooting and reporting.

Gas Compressor Unit

Inject High Pressure Dehydrated Gas into well reservoir (314 Kg/Cm2),
Operation and maintenance of Multistage compressors scrubbers, inter
coolers, After coolers, Separated Start-up, and Shut-down operation of
compressors at gas Injection unit, the plant receiving medium and low
pressure gas from respective separators, compress and send to GNFC,
operation and control of the compressor, start-up shout-down, operations,
Maintain High pressure scrubbers, inter coolers and after coolers, drainage
pump operation, cooling fan operation.

Panel Board Operation

Service and maintenance of ESD, FSD, PSHL, MOV. Smoke, Fire auto
detection system, Fire water pump operation, F&G alarm panel. If pressure
is low, bring up the pressure to a consistent take-up by Haskell pump and
opening the SSV, SSSV valves with the half of startup pressure.
