I’m Nidia Annisa, the owner

of Union Patisserie
A : good morning, glad to meet you.
N : so, can you tell me about yourself?
A : I was raised by the owner of a bakery in Palembang. I’m familiar with cooking
and pastry. i also gained the knowledge of culinary world from my college.
N : that’s impressive. You’ve got diploma 3 in English Department and Diploma 1
in culinary art. How was your education helped with your work as a pastry chef?
A : I’ve learned about hosipitality in English Department, so it helped me to serve
guest well, know the technique of hospitality, how to work with team, and
communicate well with other. I also have the pastry and bakery skill from Culinary art,
it can helped me to work here.
N : then, can you tell me about your previous job?
A : yes, I’ve worked at my parents’ bakery for 3 years. Then while I studied in
Polsri, I was working as an intern at Santika Hotel Palembang for 3 months.
N : your parents have their own bakery. Why you applying a job as a pastry chef
here?
A : If I work there, I can’t develop my skill because that’s just a little bakery. I want
to find a lot of experiences, so I think Union patisserie will give me amazing
experience if I work here. And I’m sure my skill can be used well in this patisserie.
N : so, can you give me the reason to choose you to be pastry chef here?
A : I’m verry passionate in culinary, especally in pastry and bakery. I can work with
other people or work individualy, I’d like to challenge my self, and I’ m verry
optimistic and work-harded person.
N : then, what’s your weakness?
A : I might admit that one of my weaknesses is time management and taking on too
much responsibility, which can conflict with the actual time in which I prefer to get
projects completed. I’ve noticed this in the past and have attended various seminars
on time management. Now I keep a day planner and here’s how it has helped me so
far.
N : You do not mind working long hours, do you?
A : No, I don’t. it’s fine for me
N : Can you handle pressure?
A : Yes, I can. When I was going to school, I took quite a few courses each
semester while working at least twenty hours every week. And, I handled that
situation very well.
N : Do you have any questions for me?
A : No, I think I have a pretty good understanding of the job. I believe that I can
handle it with ease, and I hope to have the opportunity to work for you.
