Makalipas ang 15 minutes, saka
pa lamang dumating ang tomboy at
inakusahan si Luzalde ng pandurukot.
Pero inamin ng tomboy na wala naman
talagang nadukot sa kanya. Maging ang
saleslady na magsisilbing testigo pala
ng tomboy ay umamin din na hindi
niya nakita si Luzalde na aktuwal na
nandurukot kundi nakita lamang niya
ito na nakapamulsa.
Sa salaysay ng tomboy at ng testigo,
maliwanag na gumagawa lamang sila ng
istorya kaya aalis na sana sina Luzalde
ngunit pinigilan sila ng SG at pinilit
na makipag-usap at makipag-areglo sa
tomboy.
Sinabi ng tomboy kay Luzalde na aminin
lamang na tinangka niyang dukutan siya
at hindi na ito magsasampa ng reklamo,
at makakauwi na rin silang magkapatid.
Pero pumalag si Luzalde, sinabi niyang
wala siyang dapat aminin dahil wala naman
talaga siyang kasalanan.
Ngunit masigasig ang tomboy sa
pagpupumilit kay Luzalde. Pati ang SG
ay nakisawsaw na rin sa pagpe-pressure

Matapos masimot ng mga pulis ang lahat
ng mapapakinabangang bagay sa dalawa,
saka nila pinakawalan ang mga ito.
Sa mga oras na isinusulat ang artikul-

ties sa Pilipinas. Sa atin ordinaryo na lang ang talunan ng
bakod at pag halalan iba ang ipinakikitang attitude ng mga
botanteng Pinoy na wala namang pakialam kung anong
partido ang kandidato.
Sa Amerika, maipapaliwanag ang pagkawala ng boto kay
Obama sa palpak na ekonomiya, sa napaka-kontrobersyal
na health bill ni Obama at maging ang stand ng American
President sa digmaan sa Iraq.

Pirates release SoKor tanker with 19 Pinoys on board
After seven months in captivity, a
tanker crew of 19 Filipinos and five Kore-
ans were finally released by Somali pirates
following payment of ransom.
The Samho Dream, a South Korean-
operated supertanker, sailed toward a safe
third country under the escort of a South
Korean destroyer after being released
Saturday, officials said.
The tanker, loaded with about $160
million of crude oil, was hijacked by
Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean in
early April. South Korean foreign min-

Metro Manila may experience a
temporary shortage in fuel supply due to
the 10-day-old shutdown of a pipeline in
Makati City that was earlier blamed for
a gas leak.
Over the weekend, several gas stations
have reported supply shortages although
there are no indications yet that such will
affect fuel pump prices.
Several Shell gasoline stations along
Commonwealth Avenue and in Bgy. White
Plains, both in Quezon City, have posted
signs saying: “Apologies as we ran out of fuel
product. We regret the inconvenience."
Chevron Corp. (formerly Caltex) also

tails about how the ship was released
and who paid the reported ransom of
$9 million to $9.5 million to secure the
ship's release.
The amount was the reportedly largest
ever to be given to Somali pirates, who
previously demanded $20 million.

crew members claimed the company head
had called her up to say negotiations had
reported being affected by the closure of the
40-year-old pipeline of the Lopez-owned
First Philippine Industrial Corporation
(FPIC). It transports around 60 percent of
Metro Manila’s crude and refined petroleum
requirements.
Ten days ago, the pipeline was closed
after geologists confirmed the presence
of a leak.
The FPIC has two main pipelines
transporting petroleum products from
oil refineries in Batangas to terminals in
Pandacan, Manila. The damaged pipeline
is FPIC's 117-kilometer “white line" that
carries gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and

sured the shortage experienced by gas
stations will only be temporary.
AFP, PNP on red alert
for Clinton visit
Amid persistent reports of a possible terrorist
attack in the country, the Armed Forces of the
Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National
Police (PNP) remained on red alert for the arrival on
Wednesday of former US President Bill Clinton.
Clinton, who has a speaking engagement at
the Manila Hotel, is considered a “high value
target” by foreign and local terrorists.
But AFP spokesman, Brig. Gen. Jose Mabanta
downplayed the supposed terror threats cited in
the travel advisories of six countries recently,
including the US government. Mabanta said
there was a lack of intelligence reports to back
up the warnings.
“These are just raw information [that] need
to be validated before they become usable intel-
ligence,” Mabanta, a former intelligence officer
of the Presidential Security Group, said.
Following the release of the travel advisories,
PNP personnel have been more visible in airports,
trains, and malls.
“These are just precautionary measures,” the
military official said.
Meanwhile, Presidential Communications Sec.
Herminio Coloma said that upon the request of
the Department of Foreign Affairs, the United
Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office has
informed Manila that the recent travel advisory to
its citizens traveling to and from the Philippines
was no different from the standing one.
