STUDY PLAN

My name Ahmad Arib Alfarisy, fresh graduate students from Mercubuana university,
Indonesia, bachelor degree in computer science. This study plan created for my master
degree application to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, major in Computer Science. And I
already secured sponsor for my study which is LPDP that will paid all my expense
during my study in SJTU. After I finish my master degree in SJTU, I’m planning take
intern in respectable company in China, and after that create my own digital product and
become entrepreneur back to Indonesia.

My Background

I’m born in Bengkulu city, Indonesia. At 2011, I take my undergraduate study in

Mercubuana university, major in Computer Science, with full scholarships for 4 year
study. Which I finish in 3 years only, and fill 1 year goes to industry, in Proctor &
Gamble Indonesia and also OPPO Smartphone.

My Reason to Study in China

Computer Science in China are growing rapidly, and i believe this is just a start. While
everyone looking forward their study to US or Europe, I take my study to China,
because i believe changes will make opportunity available for everyone, and i would like
to jump in right in the center of changes and grab opportunity available.

My Reason to Study in Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Shanghai Jiao Tong University are one of top University in China, and computer science
department also top ranked department in China. Will be great opportunity for my
capacity building to learn in such high rank University. And also I admire Shanghai so
much, i can’t think to spend my 2 years of my master degree time in another place
beside of beautiful Shanghai.

Detailed Study Plan

I will persue my master degree in Computer Science in Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Master study length is about 30 months, through 2,5 years my study and research will
focused on Knowledge Management. Detailed time arrangement are below:

First Year (2015-2016)

I would like to spend my first year to study core courses and attend seminar related to
my field. I will select Professor Wang Yinglin or Associate Professor Shen Liping as my
research advisor. And will attend in all their discussion.

Second & Third Year (2016-2018)

I will join research group and start my research. I expect finish my research at 5th
semester, and publish it at international academic journal.

My Plan after Graduation

I will take internship in respectable company in China, then making my own digital
product, after that back to Indonesia to become entrepreneur.
