GAME OF THRONES S08E04

EXT. WINTERFELL RUINS - DAY

Wide shot of Winterfell showing us the ruins of the once

great capital of the North.

The east part of the wall has been completely destroyed

following the Night Kings attack.

The goodswood is burning the tree being the only structure

that remains standing.

We see a huge gathering outside the walls as the living

prepare to honor their fallen comrades.

Jon Snow and Daenerys prepare to give the speech to boost

the morale of the few soldiers standing.Their whole armies
are gone and the once vast array of Targaryen and Stark army
has been reduce to just a few hundred people.As Jon Snow
gives it's speech Daenerys can be seen speaking valiryan to
her fallen kallasar and unsulied forces.The atmosphere is
grim with people trying to hold their tears, especially
Sansa who is fixated on Theon's lifeless corpse.The two
leaders burn their fallen brothers and enter the castle.

INT. JON'S CHAMBERS - NOON

We get a glimpse of Edd Stark's chambers now habitated by

his "bastard" son.We see Jon Snow doing it's usual brooding
but something is bothering him.It's not the grim situation
but a sharp pain that he is feeling where he has been
stabbed multiple times.But he has no time to investigate as
someone knocks on his door.

DAENERYS(O.S)
May I come in?

Jon Snow isn't properly dressed to meet his queen and also
he is not as confortable as he has been in S07E07.

JON SNOW
Give me a minute!

Daenerys isn't pleased by his response and also doesn't like

to wait so she bursts in.

Seven Hells! I have told you to wait!
Daenerys doesn't seem to be influenced by his answer and
decides to continue her objective.There is clearly some
tension between them as this is the first time they have
talked since the reveal in the crypts.

DAENERYS
That was a good speech you just
gave.The people are starting to have
faith again in their Kin...Warden.

The tension is in the air as Jon Snow is seen contemplating

with the freshly found news.He still loves Dany but his
feeling are conflicted so he bursts out of the room.

JON SNOW
Apologies My Queen but I have to go
check the defenses of our castle in
case Cersei wants.....

Daenerys clearly isn't having any of it and stops Jon Snow

dead in his tracks.

DAENERYS
You know you can't ignore me
forever.Just because you found out
your true heritage doesn't mean your
feeling for me are gone.

Jon Snow looks conflicted and desperate because he knows she

is right but being raised in the North where incest isn't as
popular as in the South puts a heavy toll on his feeling.He
decide to face Dany and confess his feelings.

JON SNOW
You are right.I have loved you way
before the truth came to pass but as
of now we can't keep doing this....it
is not right...

Dany looks completely sad.Her whole life was a lie but not
because she thought she was the one that would have the
claim to the Iron Throne but because she is not the last
Targaryen in the world and her blood is getting more distant
at each day passes.

Jon snow exits the room feeling hearth broken over the
conversation with his SO and also feeling alarmed over the
stab wounds that seem to mean something....

EXT. WINTERFELL BATTLEMENTS

As Jon Snow walks over the battlements observing the

destruction of his home he meets Jaime Lannister who just
finished talking to Brienne.It is the first time we have
seen Jaime happy but not happy like in a childish way more
like a man who is free to do what he wants and be with who
he trully wants.This is the first time these two have talked
since S01 when Jaime was mocking Jon for joining the Night
Watch.

JAIME
I suppose I owe you and apology...

Jon Snow glares at him looking confused and wanting to know

where this conversation is headed.

JON SNOW
As I recall corectly the first time
we met you mocked me and wished me
good luck in defending The WALL
againts wildings and other fairy
creatures.

Jon Snow isn't having any of it and Jaime clearly sees it.

JAIME
I thought we would be more trusting
to each other after we fought side by
side in The Battle againts the
dead....

Jon snow knows Jaime is right but he doesnt trust him at

all.

JON SNOW
How can I trust you?!You crippled my
brother and started the whole War of
The Five Kings that brought almost
complete destruction uppon my
family.You fucked your sister and had
a vicious crazy bastard that killed
my brother.Such good fortune that he
was killed.....

This clearly got to Jaime and Jon Snow sees it.But being
changed and admitting of it's past mistakes Jaime tries to
be as diplomatic as possible.

As I said in the Great Hall all the
thing I've done I did them for the
good of my family and to ensure the
survival of my houses.As of
Cersei.....we don't choose who we
love.Love comes first and then if we
fell like it we may exact duty.

Jon Snow is shocked by the total transformation of this once

arrogant cold blooded man that would kill a boy for his twin
sister.Also he seem to be fairly moved by Jaime's "we dont
chose who we love" quote as it connects to its present
struggles.He excuses himself and walks past Jaime who looks
at Jon Snow with more respect as he had in S01 but he is not
really impressed with the newly named Warden of The North.
