Ozow who is one of South Africa’s leading payment gateway providers are seeking a “Seasoned Data
Intelligence and Analytics professional” to develop, create and manage our Business Intelligence (BI) and
Data Analytics solutions, getting our data to inform our business on what needs to be done to achieve
supremacy.

Introducing Ozow

Ozow is a simple, real-time EFT payment solution, that allows the consumer access to make secure, instant
payments directly into a merchant's bank account. This payment gateway facilitates transactions via
eCommerce, mobile, eBilling and in-store transactions.

What we need from you

We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Professional with a strong
background in Microsoft Stack. This permanent role is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a scaling
organization that puts data at the heart of its decision-making processes.

The goal is to interrogate and torture Ozow's data as Ozow looks to maximize its profits, reduce its operating
costs and make educated decisions in terms of the direction the business needs to take.

In this role, you should have a background in data and business analysis. You should be analytical and an
excellent communicator. This role will play a pivotal part in how our organization continues to put data at the
centre of all operations

What the job entails

 Designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions and tools

 Crafting and executing queries upon request for data
 Presenting information through reports and visualization
 Identifying gaps in the business processes as well as sourcing and implementing solutions to fill these
gaps
 Translate business needs to technical specifications
 Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
 Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. MicroStrategy)
 Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes)
 Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
 Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
 Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
 Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
 Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
 Develop and update technical documentation
 Data Gap Analysis and corrective procedures
 Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
 Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when
required

Requirements

 Min. 5 to 10 years’ experience as a BI Developer and Data Analyst

 Industry experience is preferred
 Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
  In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and
ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
 Familiarity with BI technologies
 Thorough knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Stack using MS SQL.
 Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
 Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
 BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
