Roles and Responsibilities
- Aware the community to be always prepare in case of disaster.
- Involve the community in the different drills/training to
increase their knowledge and always ready in case of disaster.
- Providing of brochures/pamphlets to the community about
disaster preparedness.
- Clearing of branches of trees along the barangay streets or
roadways.
- Maintain the clearing or desilting operation of the drainage
system in the barangay.
- Monitor the destroyed/damaged canal cover in the barangay.
- Encourage the community especially the Katipunan ng
Kabataan to conduct tree planting like mangrove near the
riverbanks or the coastal areas.
- Ensure that emergency response is effective in times of
disaster or calamity.
- Make sure to lead and conduct meetings with the sub-
committees under this committee.
- Immediately response is provided or given to the most needed
ones during and after the disasters.
- Maintain the proper monitoring of evacuation areas of the
barangay.
- Monitor the structural facilities of the barangay.
- Make an assessment for the rehabilitation facilities.

- Ensure that warning signals can be received by all residents of
the barangay.
- Educates all residents the proper meaning of different
warning signals available in the barangay.
- Organized the warning services and assign members in every
sitios of the barangay.
- Keep and maintain appropriate warning devices and proper
use of this when needed.
- Acts on all communications pertaining to disaster in behalf of
the Punong Barangay.
- Responsible for receiving of warning information from the
Local Civil Defense authorities of other sources and
disseminate same information to the barangay warning service
leader.

- Responsible for the transport needs of the BDRRMC.
- Identify all locally available transport facilities in the
barangay and tapping these resources as needed.
- Maintain the support and transport needs of the barangay
during operation activities.
- Responsible in locating or tracking injured, trapped and moving
them to some place where they can be treated or cared for their
safety.
- Receipt of evacuees or victims from evacuation service
leader.
- Receipt of supplies like canned goods, clothing, medicines
and other things needed for operations and materials for
temporary shelter and others.
- Inform the MDRRMC through the Brgy. Chairman, the status
of disaster relief activities and coordinate with other relief
agencies of the government.

Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis)
- Monitor and report the condition or situation of the extent of
damages occur and identify immediately to which areas
require immediate assistance.
