Moment’s Notice

While this song doesn’t present quite the same level of difficulty of John Coltrane’s other great tune, Giant Steps,
Moment’s Notice is by no means an easy song over which to improvise. The challenge is the speed at which the
harmonies progress chromatically throughout several keys. The classic version of this song is on Coltrane’s 1957
album Blue Train. Curtis Fuller plays a terrific solo on that album, which is transcribed starting on page 10.
