COURSE OUTLINE
Linking business with the study of information technology, this course is
designed to prepare MBA students to use and manage information
technologies to revitalize business processes, improve business decision-
making and gain competitive advantage.

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVE


The objective of the course is to introduce students to computer-based
information systems and their role in business organizations. Topics to be
covered include a discussion of the nature of information and its
contribution to the strategic, managerial, and operational aspects of
business. It also covers planning, analysis, design, and implementation
need to achieve successful information systems. The course emphasizes
the essential role of Internet and mobile technologies in providing
platform in business, commerce, and collaboration process among all
business stakeholders in today’s networked enterprises and global
markets.

FORMAT OF CLASS MEETINGS


Meetings will be 1.5 hours long.
Most meetings will involve discussion of the course content.
