Work Immersion is a program of DepEd which is designed to prepare its students to become competitive

AgriCrop Production Grade 12 Graduates. It is a subject where every student is given a necessary training
and preparation in order that they will become competent individual in their chosen career. A student has
an opportunity to obtained rich and varied experiences, ideas, knowledge in reference to the variety
techniques, methods and strategies which would highly complement to their personality to become
successful someday.

Practicum consists of Sixty (60) hours. Before the students face the actual training, the student undergoes
pre-immersion, orientation as their guide.

After the required hours of training, students should submit a Portfolio and to be presented as partial
fulfillment for the requirements for the SHS Agricultural Crop Production.

Therefore, Immersion program is a good preparation for the future in leading the youth to attain a well-
guided and well-rounded personality.

During our pre-immersion, I learned to prepare necessary documents that required for the Work
Immersion. I attended Class Orientation as well as meetings. Together with our Subject Teacher we visited
connecting agencies where the necessary required documents can be acquired.

During the Work Immersion, proper, I performed nursery operation such as, prepared nursery tools,
maintained nursery facilities, prepared growing media, conducted propagation activities, handled seed
planting materials, tools implement and simple equipment and others. I performed planting crops,
prepared plant for planting, conducted field lay-out and dig holes to perform the direct seeding and
transplanting seedling. I also learned how to apply the fertilizer, water crops, applied the pest control
perform physical growth enhancing practices and performed pruning. In the carry out and pest harvest
operation. I learned on how to perform harvest activity, pre-harvest, post-harvest, harvest operation, and
monitoring storage pest and disease.

After the Work Immersion, Ma’am Magdalena Taladtad our Subject Teacher discussed the understanding
of work immersion ,appreciating the importance of credentials and discussed portfolio contents.
