This  information  is  for  engineering/computer  science  Master  of  Science  programs  offered  
by  the  USC  Viterbi  School  of  Engineering  requiring  the  successful  completion  of  a  
minimum  of  27  units  of  graduate  engineering  coursework.  
 
 
Tuition  and  fees  for  the  academic  year  2019-­‐‑2020  are  as  follows:

Mandatory  Fees  (approximate)   $420  
Health  Insurance  (these  are  the  2018/19  
Fall  Semester  –  $730

on  the  academic  year  2019-­‐‑2020  rate.  Health  insurance  rates  are  based  on  2018/19  rates  
(2019/20  will  be  available  in  June  at  http://engemannshc.usc.edu/insurance/insurance-­‐‑

• The  tuition  and  fees  rates  and  health  insurance  for  academic  year  2020-­‐‑2021  have  not  
been  published  and  actual  tuition,  fees  and  health  insurance  rates  for  those  semesters  is

Depending  on  if  the  student  requires  prerequisite  courses,  the  total  number  of  units  
required  may  be  higher.  
 

The  Master  of  Science  in  Petroleum  Engineering  program  can  requires  1-­‐‑5  prerequisite  
courses,  bringing  the  total  to  between  30  and  42  units.      
 

The  above  are  based  on  2019/20  tuition  and  2018/19  health  insurance  costs.  Both  of  
these  costs  change  every  fall,  so  the  amounts  shown  are  approximate.
