Date: 6/9/19 Artifact Description: Can O’ Your Town; contain the use of graphics, paint tools, word processing tools, drawing tools, your digital image, a UPC symbol, ingredients table, and will fit the can perfectly. What you learned: This project brought back memories. The Can O’ Your Town is a great assignment to share where you come from. It’s similar to a pamphlet about your hometown. It’s a great idea for my future class. The students would then have great knowledge of certain cities to visit in the future. Overall it’s a great learning experience, on how to incorporate charts and photos in a particular software. National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS)•S Addressed: 4b: Students select and use digital tools to plan and manage a design process that considers design constraints and calculated risks. Application of Skills Learned for the Future: This project would be great for school curriculum for students to introducing one another. The hurdles that I faced was measurements. Using the PowerPoint software is a bit intimidating. There are so many options and every tool has its purpose. Including a chart to the project was help for future projects. What was difficult was the size of the project using a can of soup and implanting the measurements of the can to reflect your project was hard. Being restricted to a portion of the page and not having full range of the entire page. Having to pick and choose what goes on the assignment due to size restriction was difficult.
