The Emission Sensors Design Release Engineer is responsible for a selected powertrain
gasoline and diesel emission sensors and related components that may include
Oxygen, Coolant, Air, Manifold Absolute Pressure, Oil Temperature, Heat Shields,
Knock, NOX, NH3, Particulate Matter, Exhaust Gas Temperature and Oil Pressure
Sensors.

Activities include working with various design groups within Chrysler and External
Component Suppliers. Some travel to component suppliers, engine plants and vehicle
assembly plants is expected.

The Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of engineering and program
management for these sensors including but not limited to the following types of
tasks:

Review/Develop component spec’s

Benchmarking Analysis

Component Test Validation

Cost, Weight and Invest Management

Vehicle/Engine packaging

Warranty Improvement Activities

Order Prototype Components

Supplier Management/Development

Plant Process Development

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,

Aerospace Engineering, Physics or other closely related engineering degree from an
accredited university

Must be able to work in a fast paced multi-tasking environment

Previous experience must demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects at one

time

Ability to improvise and adapt to changing priorities while working independently or

in conjunction with fellow team members

Strong problem solving skills to analytically attack engineering issues

Good organizational skills for projects and engineering thought process

Strong foundation in electrical engineering with the ability to navigate electrical

schematics and utilize digital volt ohmmeters / oscilloscopes for troubleshooting
powertrain electrical and electronic systems

Basic understanding of electronic management systems for powertrain systems

(engine & transmission) as well as the fundamentals of internal combustion engine
operation and electronic transmission operation

Knowledge of CAN communication bus protocol and fluency in the use of CAN data
