1. ENGLISH Progress in science is a step towards development. Express your views for and against the
statement in about 350 words.
Read the extract of the play ‘A Mid Summer Night’s Dream’ from your textbook and write a
summary of it.

2. II LANG Malayalam: Write a composition on how you would solve the water shortage problem.
Tamil: Do a project on Thirukkural.
Hindi: Learn the grammar that has been taught in class. Read a story book and the Hindi
newspaper. Write a summary of the story in 100 words.

3. MATH Write and learn tables from 1 to 20.

Write and learn square and cube tables upto 25.

4. PHYSICS Make a list of articles you see around you. Segregate them into bio degradable and non bio
degradable waste.
Prepare any useful article using the waste material present in your house.
Prepare a report on “problem of garbage disposal”. Paste pictures relevant to the topic also
paste newspaper articles to enhance your report with proper evidence.

5. CHEMISTRY Draw a shell diagram for the first 15 elements.

Draw the structure of diamond and graphite.

6. BIOLOGY Write about “The circulatory system and heart disorders.”

7. HISTORY 1. Collect information and pictures on the architecture, religious and cultural achievements of
the Mughal rulers and make a scrapbook. Make a PPT and bring it on a CD.
2.Write briefly on the impact of Renaissance on science under the following headings:
a) Progress in astronomy
b) Progress in medicine
c) Progress in Mathematics

8. GEOGRAPHY 1.Make a project on various natural disasters that takes place on the earth’s surface. Write
their cause and effects and mention prevention measures that can be used.
2.Make a scrapbook on one of the major natural disasters that took place in the world’s history.

9. COMPUTER Write a program using HTML codes to display the details of your family (name and age of the
APPLNS family members, occupation of the elders, residential details) as a webpage. Submit the
program in the form of a cd labelled with your name, subject and class.
