INDIAN PATENT AGENT EXAM PREPARATION & PATENT

ACTS (6 days (full time) course from 15th November – 20th

November, 2010

The "Indian Patent Agent Exam Preparation & Patent Acts" program is the 6-day course to help you prepare
for the 'Indian Patent Agent Exam', starting from 15th of November till 20th November, 2010 (classes will be held
from Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM) at Delhi and Bangalore Centre. The course is tailored for clearing the
patent agent examination conducted by the Indian Patent Office (refer to the following URLs -
http://www.patentoffice.nic.in and http://ipindia.nic.in/ipr/patent/patents.htm (look up FAQ no. 46 - 50)) and is
designed for participants who would like to gain knowledge about the Indian Patent Act and appear for the Patent
Agent Examination 2011 with an objective of becoming a Registered Patent Agent.

The course is designed and will be delivered by outstanding professionals, patent agents and attorneys with rich
teaching, research, industry and consulting experience. The training will be interactive sessions with Trainers
including group discussions, self learning exercises, simulations, case studies, scenario exercises, solving previous
year papers. The focus will be to deliver content that can help you to clear the Patent Agent Examination in a
relatively short span of time.

Anticipation, patents of addition and amendment of application and specifications

Restoration of lapsed patents, surrender and revocation of patents, compulsory licensing and
role of appellate board

Fundamentals of claims and specifications drafting

Solving previous years examination papers

Tips for the viva voice session

ELIGIBILITY

Graduates, Post Graduates with Science, Engineering or technology degrees

Participants should possess good communication and writing skills, should be capable of understanding the
technical concepts and processes. At the same time, should have basic understanding of the patent laws and
procedures.

Registration Process

To register, download the application form

Submit the filled-in application form along with your Resume and registration fee of
Rs. 2,000/-, at GIIP’s office and balance amount for Rs. 13,000/- to be paid before or on
15th November, 2010

Registration fee to be paid using Cheque/demand draft drawn in favor of ‘Global Institute of
Intellectual Property Pvt. Ltd.’, payable at Delhi.

The application form will be evaluated by GIIP’s Selection Committee for assessing the
 eligibility of the applicant.

Kindly note:

We have limited seats available for the program at both locations. Registration will be
accepted on the first come, first serve basis.

For all individual registrations before 1st October 2010, we offer an early bird discount of
Rs. 1,000.

For Corporate, we offer a 10% discount, on the total fee amount, for 3 or more participants.
The discount will be 15% for confirmations received before 1st October 2010
