About the crochet terms
I use US crochet terms for my patterns. However, as you may know US crochet terms are different than UK crochet
terms. Here is a chart for you to see them both.
Abbreviations Used
Work in continuous rounds. Do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed. It would be wise to use a stitch marker &
place it in the first stitch of the round to mark the beginning of it. Move the marker up to the first stitch of the next round
after finishing the previous one.
If you need to change colour, do it always at the end of the previous round. Start the last stitch of the round with the old
colour. Change the colour right before you draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch.
You can easily sew the toy together when you leave each piece a long yarn tail.
Stitch Explanation
Invisible decrease: Insert the hook into the **front loop** of the first stitch (2 loops on hook). **Do NOT yarn over**
Insert the hook into the **front loop** of the next stitch. In order to do this, you’ll need to swing the hook down first so
you can insert the hook under the front loop. (3 loops on hook)
Yarn over & draw through the first two loops on the hook. (2 loops on hook)
Yarn over & draw through both loops on the hook. You’ve done your invisible decrease.
Increase: Two single crochet into one stitch.
Comments
In this pattern most of the parts start with a magic ring. If you don’t want to use that, you can easily start like this:
P.S. *2 sc, inc* meaning: *sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st*

We now need to flatten the piece & to do that push the top ( open end ) flat. Skip the last st you made on the last round & crochet over the 4
sts you have on each side of the piece. You should have 4 sts ( single crochet stitches ) to sew the arm onto the body. Cut a long enough yarn
tail for sewing.
Before you start making the chains leave a little yarn tail to close the little hole which will be created when we crochet 6 sc into one st
***Important Note***
***3 sts inv dec*** meaning: Insert the hook into front loop of the first st ( 2 loops on hook ) do NOT yarn over.
Insert the hook into the front loop of the next st ( 3 loops on hook ) do NOT yarn over
Insert the hook into the front loop of the next st ( 4 loops on hook ), yarn over & draw through the 3 loops on the hook ( 2 loops on hook ) ,
yarn over and draw through both loops on the hook. 3 sts inv dec is done.

Scarf Step Eight
Leave a little yarn tail, sl knot – ch 121 – turn back – sl st until the beginning of the ch.
*** 1st sl st goes into the 2nd ch from hook. Hence you should have 120 sl sts***
Leave a little yarn tail to fasten off. Also weave the tiny yarn tail in left at the beginning.
Muzzle: Count from top ( where mr (6 sc) is) to down & sew the muzzle between the 16th and 24th rounds. Add a little tiny bit of stuffing before
you finish sewing completely.
Bring the yarn tail out from the open bottom of the head to make a knot with the other yarn / thread tails to secure.
Cut a 2m long cotton and thread it through a sewing needle and use it as double stranded. Insert the needle into the muzzle from the open
bottom of the head. Leave a little cotton tail and embroider the muzzle between the 3 rd & 5th rounds. Use 6 holes.
And then, make a mouth as you see in the photo below ( nose and mouth look like a fat letter T ) Again bring the cotton thread out from the open
bottom of the head to make a knot to secure the tails.
Count from the top ( where mr (6 sc) is ) to down & make the eyebrows between the 13 th and 17th rounds. Insert the needle in the head from the
open bottom of the head & leave a little yarn tail. You’ll need 4 holes to make each eyebrow.
Once you’ve done the eyebrows bring the cotton out from the open bottom of the head and make a knot with the other tail you left before you
started making the eyebrows to secure the tails.
Ears: Count from the top ( where mr (6 sc) is ) to down & sew the ears between the 6 th and 15th rounds. And again remember to bring the yarn
tails out from the open bottom of the head to tie a knot to secure the ears.
Head & Body: Sew head and body together with whip stitch.
Arms: Sew the arms between the last two rounds of the body. You’ll need 5 holes to sew each arm onto the body.
Feet: Count from bottom ( where the mr is ) to top and sew the feet between 7 th & 12th rounds.
Tail: Put a tiny bit of stuffing into tail. Count from bottom ( where the mr is ) to top and sew the tail between 7th & 10th rounds.
