1.0 Introduction
1.1 School

Kasarinlan High School stood firm on its ground and has survived wear and tear through

the years. It has produced number of professionals and seemingly will perpetually function that

way as numerous school children/students flocked to its portal until now. Kasarinlan high school

was formerly a vacant lot beside kasarinlan elementary school, where it was utilized by the elementary

teachers, in planting vegetables, trees and other crops; until in the year 2006. It was opened by only one (1)

building to start first year high school only with 5 sections

It was first headed by our Principal, Dr. Imelda G. Caro from Caloocan High School, together with her, was Ms. Julie Ann
Aporan Cabuenos who serves as clerk before. Mrs. Evelyn A. Sangalang who arrived May 2006. The 3 were accommodated first in
the Elementary School with Dr. Dimalanta who was then the very accommodating and supportive during that time, until May 2006
before the opening of classes when we transfer to Kasarinlan Building. June 2006 came Volunteer Teacher namely : Ms. Mary Jane
Acedilla, Mr. Wilbert G. Balboa, Mrs. Lilibeth B. Garcia until in the middle of June 2006 came other teachers to complete the needed
teaching force at that time

Presently, Kasarinlan High School has a total student population of 2095. With hardworking teachers with 34 sections, from
Grade 7 to Grade 10 level. We have already 3 extended buildings and at present an on-going 4-storey building with 12 classrooms. We
also had 2 E-Classrooms, Computer Laboratory , Science Laboratory, Library, Guidance Room, Registrar’s Office, Canteen, Covered
Court and SDRRMC- small room (temporary)

1.2 OVERVIEW OF SCHOOL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION MANAGEMENT PLAN (SDRRMP)

Kasarinlan High School is facing multi- hazards both manmade and natural hazards such as flood, fire and earthquake. This
SDRRMP will give the school an effective management preparedness and contingency response during emergency or before,
during and after the occurrence of disaster.

Aside from R.A 10121, the Department of Education issued DepEd Order No. 55, entitled prioritizing the
mainstreaming of disaster risk reduction management in the School System and Implementation of Programs and relative
thereof.

2.0 SCHOOL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT GROUP (SDRRMG)
