National Directory of Forests - Romsilva is working under the authority of Water and Forest
Ministery. The main objective of Romsilva is to preserve and regenerate the forests and also
to extend their area.

The landscape seems preserved, activities for children and various infrastructure are scattered
around a park. The scene and its atmosphere is more pleasing than the original path. A few
trails here and there draw us into the gigantic forest formed by a flora of wider trees. Occa-
sionally, we will meet passers-by. Some gathered to pick flowers and mushrooms on the edge
of the damp road. Children on bicycles and families seem to be there looking for a quiet and
secluded place for the weekend. Slowly, we sink into the forest and the trees appear to form
an arch, a shelter covering the sky little by little. At an intersection, two choices are offered to
us: follow a straight path until Greenfield Residence or take the loop that rejoin the road. We
perceive a great void along the broad curved path, while only meeting passers-by with their
babies, then some cyclist. The sun is setting, the weekend is ending. We all agreed that we
preferred this course over the initial one. The condition of the trail was sometime chaotic, yet
the debris and rubbish present in the first path were not on this one. While been outside the
city, it is easier to access and gives a pause from the urban murmur. We are under the impres-
sion the that forest and its trees provide a sort of protective haven. We ended our journey
when the trail met a road, which seemed to be in the middle of nowhere with the absence of
car and pedestrian.
