• Wait for the expiration date to come up.

• Record (take a pic ) every day

• Record it for its appearance until the molds appear .

• Take time and always remind to record to know exactly


when did the molds appeared.

During our experiment we observe that the first bread to have a


mold is the Gardenia bread. Gardenia Bread’s expiration is
February 25 and after 1 week a fungi appeared white fungi or
spores. On the other hand the Baker’s Plaza bread. Bakers’s Plaza
bread is so sweet that during our experiment it is eaten by the
ants. All we knew that the bread is well sealed but then again it is
eaten the by the ants. Baker’s Plaza bread’s expiration is February
24 but after 1 week there is no molds yet.

Therefore we had observed that molds appeared first in
Gardenia Bread because of its containing ingredients. There are
some ingredients that the Baker’s Plaza doesn’t have. Is it still
edible?, no because molds are fungi, molds are harmless but some
are dangerous. When you eat is it may produce allergic reactions
and respiratory problems, or produce poisonous substances called
mycotoxins.

Science said that molds appears in moist areas. So before we
started a experiment, one of our group-mate tried to
experiment a Gardenia Bread, she placed it inside the
refrigerator, its expiration is February 9 2019 after 2 weeks it
became a moldy bread. The whole bread became decayed and
only molds appeared inside the tupperware.

Therefore we conclude that molds
appears in the bread after its
expiration, depends in the
ingredients of the bread and the
temperature where the bread is
located.
