Task Analysis: Pinterest for Teachers in Education

For my task analysis I chose to do the procedural analysis. The procedural analysis
would give teachers tips on how to use the Pinterest app for Education and
Technology.

Task outline:
1.0 Set up Pinterest Account
1.1 Locate the internet explorer icon on the desktop (e)
1.2 Left Click on the internet explorer icon(e)
1.3 Type in the Pinterest address in the search bar and then click enter
1.4 Create the Pinterest account by left clicking on the red and white icon that
reads (create an account)
1.5 Enter the information that is asked and then create your account

2.0 Add items to personal Pinterest Account

2.1 After successfully creating my Pinterest account then pick on boards that I am
interested in.
2.2 Left click on Education boards, technology boards, reading, and web -design.
2.3 After I am able see boards for education, technology, reading, and web-design
for my homepage.
2.4 In the search engine I can type a certain theme for example Dr. Seuss.
Different boards about Dr. Seuss will pop up.
2.5 Click home tab to start new page

create boards using
your Pinterest
account.
3. Locate internet explorer icon on the desktop. I am looking at my
desktop and you
will click the
internet explorer

4. Show internet explorer search bar. Here is where you

will type in the
Pinterest address
which is
www.pinterest.com
5. Show Pinterest sign in. Here we see that
we can either
create an account
or click the login
tab. I am going to
click on sign up tab.
6. Then audience will see me enter my name, and gender. This is me creating
Click on the tab “come on in. “ an account with a
username and
password.
7. Click boards I am interested in which will be education, Next, I am
web-design, and technology. encouraged to
choose boards that
interest me. I am
interested in
education, web -
design and
technology.
8. Next, show that you can follow people. For the purpose of
this video, we are
not going to follow
anyone and so we
are going to skip
this step.
9. Left click on get it now. Then we are simply
just going to left
click on” get it
now.”
10. Look at the boards about education, web-design and A pop link will need
technology. to confirm your
email. So go to
your email and
confirm and then
after you confirm
your Pinterest
account you will
have information
about education,
web-design and
technology.
11. Show how to create a board for bookmark. Let us say I like a
certain book mark
for example Dr.
Seuss. I will left
click on the cursor
and pin it.
12 Show naming the board and the pop up link. Next, you will see a
pop up link that
says, “pick a
board.” Well, we
do not have a
board. Therefore,
we will need to
create a board and
I will create mine as
“Education.”

14. Picture of Pinterest When you are

finished, you can
browse different
boards or type a
different subject in
the search bar.
