METHOD STATEMENT

FOR DISMANTLING OF CABLE TRUNKING

I. PURPOSE
1. The purpose of this Method Statement is to detail the procedures for dismantling of
cable trunking which is affected by the strengthening of columns.

II. SCOPE
1. The work under this section covers the entire dismantling of Cable Trunking which is
affected by the strengthening of columns.

III. REFERENCES
1. Latest approved “For Construction Drawing”.

IV. PROCEDURES
1. Determine and prepare the location of cable trunking for dismantling based on the
approved plans.
2. Take photos of the area for dismantling as reference for the work.
3. Prepare the tools to be used such as step ladder/scaffolds, wrenches, safety harness, etc.
4. The procedure for dismantling is the reverse of installing. The last one installed is the first
one to be dismantle/remove and the first one installed is the last to be
dismantle/remove.
5. After the work done, endorse to Resident Engineer for final inspection and approval.
