Determine the number of cells in a cluster and then draw the cell clusters and determines the co-
channel interference. Let, the cell radius is 200 m and you are using an umbrella approach to cover
a cluster (and assume this cluster as a single unit for handoffs).If the MS moves at a speed xy
km/hr (xy = last two digits of your roll), determine (a) Average time between handoffs .(b)
Probability of a handoff (c) Average channel holding or occupancy time. Assume parameters if
necessary.
Solution:
(i) The number of cell in a cluster,
N = i2 + i*j + j2
= 32 + 3*5 + 52
= 49
