PEOPLESOFT PEOPLETOOLS AND PEOPLESOFT APPLICATIONS

PeopleSoft PeopleTools is delivered as deployment packages (DPKs) for IBM AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Solaris
operating systems. PeopleSoft DPKs offer automated installation of PeopleSoft components, including Oracle Tuxedo and Oracle
WebLogic, and can be used to set up a functioning PeopleSoft PeopleTools mid-tier environment.
Oracle plans to make PeopleTools 8.57 available on the Oracle Cloud at the general available release date. Customers taking
advantage of PeopleSoft Cloud Manager will be the first to benefit from the new PeopleTools release. Additional operating system
platforms for on-premises installations will follow with a later patch release of the PeopleTools DPKs. At that time DPKs for all
supported platforms will be available on Oracle Software Delivery Cloud (OSDC) and on My Oracle Support, Patches and Updates.
With PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.57, each My Oracle Support patch includes a fully installable release.
See the PeopleSoft PeopleTools Patches Home Page on My Oracle Support, My Oracle Support, Doc ID 2062712.2.

DPKs incorporate PeopleSoft PeopleTools DPKs as well as the PeopleSoft application software, and can be used as sources for PUM
updates or for a fresh installation to set up a full PeopleSoft environment. The PeopleSoft application DPKs can be installed on Oracle
VirtualBox as well as Microsoft Windows and Linux.
