Use the concept of relative speeds. Assume one of them to be at rest. So the relative velocity of the
other will become 45 + 80 = 125km/hr. (You can assume any of them to be ar rest)

Now time = distance / speed = 100/125 hr = 4/5 hr

Let the two cars meet at a time to t . Let the speed of A be 80kmph and B be 45kmph . Let distance
traveled by A from the start to the meeting point be x. So distance traveled by B is (100 − x). Then:

t = (100 − x)/45

Equating time, x/80 = (100 − x)/45

45x = 8000 − 80x

125x = 8000

x = 8000/125 = 64km

t = 64/80 = 4/5hr = 48minutes.

Therefore at the meeting point 48minutes would have been elapsed and car A would have

Suppose they meet at a point O, s1 and s2 distance from each end. That is s1+s2=100.

If a1 and a2 are acceleration of both respectively, a1 = 4500/3600 =1.18 and a2=8000/3600=1.91 m/sec
approximately.

If initial velocity is zero assuming them to be u1 and u2. Time travelled by both to be t.

Total distance travelled by each is u1.t1+0.5.a1.t1^2 and u2.t2^2+0.5.a2.t2^2. This reduces to

0.5((1.18.t^2)+(1.91.t^2))=100. Here t1 =t2 /t, as both meet coincidently.

So t=sqrt.((100000/0.5x3.1)seconds after they start.

Which is equal to around 6060 seconds or 1.8 hours.
