Safety Signages Proposal

RUSAIFFAH CAMP
The definition:
A safety and/or health sign is defined as 'information or instruction
about health and safety at work on a signboard, a color, an
illuminated sign or acoustic signal, a pictogram or hand signal.

The Need:
The Safety Regulations & Civil Defense Department of KSA require
employers to ensure that safety signs are provided (or are in place)
and maintained in circumstances where there is a significant risk to
health and safety that has not been removed or controlled by other
methods i.e. engineering controls, Administrative controls & safe
systems of work etc. But Safety signs are not a substitute for those
other methods of control. These signs are only appropriate where use
of a sign can further reduce the risk.

The Importance:
Safety Signs are crucial in any work environment. The primary
importance of displaying Safety Signs is to prevent injury and ensure
staff and visitors are aware of the possible dangers and hazards
ahead in certain situations and/or environments. Without signs, many
employees would lack the necessary direction in times of crisis, and
employers might find themselves in significant legal difficulties if any
accidents were to arise as a result.
By ensuring the workplace is sufficiently well signed, you can help
protect your staff and visitors to the site, particularly members of the
public, against the possible dangers that may be unnoticed - leading
to less accidents and reduced risk to employees and passerby’s.
