Nota: Este material parece ser extenso y tedioso, pero es que hay un montón de ejercicios para practicar. De aquí tomare
muchos ejemplos para el examen, y algunos otro de otro material pero similares. Y por ultimo no todos los temas viene en el
examen… arriba están marcados los que vienen en el examen. Los demás se los estoy dando por pars su conocimiento. El examencito
será basado en present continouos/ progressive y la comparación de este con Simple present. Practicamente para examen son temas ue
ya vimos en clase.
Present Progressive/Continuous - Brief version
Present Progressive - Use

1) actions happening at the moment of speaking

Peter is reading a book now.

2) fixed plan in the near future

She is going to Basel on Saturday.

3) temporary actions

His father is working in Rome this month.

4) actions happening around the moment of speaking (longer actions)

My friend is preparing for his exams.


5) trends

More and more people are using their computers to listen to music.

6) repeated actions which are irritating to the speaker (with always, constantly,
forever)

Andrew is always coming late.

Signal words

now, at the moment, Look! Listen!

Form

to be (am, are, is) + infinitive + -ing

Examples

Affirmative sentences:
I am playing football. You are playing football.
I'm playing football. You're playing football.

Negative sentences:

You are not playing football.


I am not playing football.
You're not playing football.
I'm not playing football.
You aren't playing football.

Questions:

Am I playing football? Are you playing football?

Do you want to express that something happens in general or that something is happening right now?

Oral Exam
These are the instructions for you:

1. Read very well the instructions and Notes (It will help you a lot)
2. Get into groups of three people.
3. Everything in English.
4. Say good morning, or hello/ hi… or something when come to take your exam.
5. Try to give complet answers to the question or questions. (I posibly use a picture so you say
according to the picture)= posiblemente use una imagen entonce usted responde mi pregunta
sugun la imagen.

Look for classmates you can take your oral exam with. The oral exam will be easy just two or three questions per
student.

NOTE: almost the question i am givin you are with you, but remember I can ask you with she or He…

Note: Hay algunas preguntas que no manejan: ¿ puede hacer? 1. Inevestigar. 2. Pregunteme o las disctimos
en clase. 3. Si hay alguna que sea muy difícil la eliminamos
