4. Disassembly Instruction (Place unit on curved pad)
Preparations 2. Disassembly Set

a) Disassembly Jig: Hard plastic putty knife. 1.Place unit “Face Down” on a curved pad.

b) Curved Pad

2. Unlock the Hinge Cover (Latch Type) and remove


the Hinge Cover.

You can use;


1. Styrofoam for the Customer’s original packing or
2. Styrofoam from the replacement panel (if used).

4. a. Disassembly Instruction (Stand and Back Cover)
3. Remove the two top stand Body screws (2EA). 5. Pop-Off the AV In/Out Door by hand (Latch type).
Pull off the stand and set aside. Place your thumb inside bottom hole and pop-up.

6. Remove 1 screw by the AC Switch. Disassemble the back


4. (It is Not Necessary) But you can also Remove the Stand Body cover (Latch Type) starting at the bottom left or right using
from the Stand Base by removing the 2 screws from the bottom. a strong plastic tool, like a putty knife or plastic grout tool.
There are 4 latches per/side and 10 across the top.

Insert plastic tool – slightly turn and


slide to open cabinet. Push in an twist.

4. b. Disassembly Instruction (Panel Cables)
7. Disassemble the Panel LED Cables. Remove the Joy Stick Assembly (Latch Type) and set it aside.

8. Disconnect all cables and Remove the 4 Screws in the Metal Shield using a driver and Disassemble FFC cables.

4. d. Disassembly Instruction (Main Board)
10. Disassemble the screw (5EA) between Metal Shield and PCB.

11. Disassemble the screw (4EA) between Metal Shield and Hinge Assy.

Chocolate (Heat Sink) Material Locations


If changing the Main board or removing it for service, be sure
all Chocolate pieces are returned to their correct position.

Appendix 1: USB Hub Not Working
1. Problem

USB HUB is not working.

2. Question.

It doesn’t support USB 3.0 speed.


It doesn’t play music/video/picture when inserting USB memory stick to port.

3. Answer

* You have to use the supported USB 3.0 AB type cable.
(supported Cable : USB3.0, USE2.0 both available) 34UC97
(if you use USB 2.0 AB type Cable, you can’t use USB3.0
speed even if you connect USB3.0 memory stick to port)
• It has only USB Hub function.
(it doesn’t support Quick play function.)

- USB Hub is not working.

Appendix 2: No Sound with Earphones after Power Off/On
1. Problem

No Sound with Earphone Connected

2. Question.

It doesn’t produce sound if Power is turned off/on with Earphone connected.

3. Answer

Problem Answer Applicable Models

-No Sound through * Root Cause : With applying the Beep sound on speaker in
Earphones when Monitor time of AC/DC power On, the sound path is set to the
turned off and on with 34UC97-SD
speaker. After completing the Beep function, sound path is
earphones connected. not set to the earphone if earphone is connected. 34UC87-BD

1) Update the firmware with below version or later as


below model and suffix combination.
Earlier than 2014.11.02 as production date.

• 34UC97-SD ** : 34UC97_NT68370_V312_44BF_141103.hex
• 34UC87-BD.** : 34UC87_NT68370_V312_449F_141103.hex

2) Preparation
-SVC materials: ISP jig and ISP Tool SW. (RAD32227901)
3) Please follow the ISP download instructions and update
the firmware.
